A dermatologic treatment apparatus is disclosed which includes one or more housings with at least one housing configured for manipulation in a dermatologic treatment procedure, a light source, and an electrical circuit. The circuit energizes the light source to produce output light pulses. A light path includes an aperture through which eye-safe light pulses are propagated having properties sufficient for providing efficacious treatment. An optical diffuser is disposed along the light path to reduce the integrated radiance to an eye-safe level. The apparatus produces an output fluence not less than 4 J / cm2.

The invention discloses a large dynamic wind field detection laser radar based on an all-fiber scanning F-P interferometer. The large dynamic wind field detection laser radar is characterized in that optical pulse emitted from a laser pulse generating unit points to detection atmosphere through a transmitting telescope; background noise of an echo signal is filtered by a background noise filtering unit; a reference signal and an atmospheric aerosol spectrum are scanned by a spectrum scanning unit; signal detection is realized by a single-photon detector; data acquisition and atmospheric wind velocity inversion are completed by a data acquisition unit and a processing unit. According to the large dynamic wind field detection laser radar, a back scattering spectrum of aerosol is scanned through a transmission spectrum and a reflective spectrum of the optical fiber F-P interferometer, and energy waste is avoided and influence of laser energy jitter on measurement is eliminated; weak atmospheric signals are detected by the single-photon detector; Doppler frequency shift symbols are discriminated by scanning a reference laser spectrum and the atmospheric aerosol spectrum simultaneously. The laser radar has the advantages of eye safety, large dynamic range of wind velocity measurement, long detection range and the like.

Hybrid eye tracking system and associated methods

A system and method for tracking ocular changes during a surgical procedure include directing an eye-safe optical beam toward an undilated, unparalyzed eye. A reflected optical beam is detected, and measurements are performed based upon data contained in the reflected optical beam of at least one geometric parameter of the eye at a predetermined frequency, and from them is calculated a change in the at least one geometric parameter. The calculated change is used to dynamically adjust the directing of laser beam shots during the surgery.

Motorized barrier operator system utilizing multiple photo-eye safety system and methods for installing and using the same

A movable barrier operator system includes a motorized operator which moves a barrier between limit positions, and a photo-electric safety system connected to the motorized operator. The photo-electric safety system monitors for obstructions at more than one height along the barrier's path between limit positions. This is done by installing a supplemental photo-electric safety system to work in conjunction with a pre-existing photo-electric safety system connected to the motorized barrier operator.
