A method for operating a computer through a touch sensitive display interface includes displaying a computer generated graphical image on a touch sensitive display using display software. The display software includes programs used to display the graphical image (e.g., display driver and web browser), and is responsive to inputs at a first, active portion (e.g., coinciding with toolbars, hyperlinks) of the touch sensitive display when the graphic image is displayed, and is non-responsive to a second, inactive portion. In the method, an input character is received at the second, inactive portion of the touch sensitive display, and is compared to a stored command character that is associated with a separate corresponding computer command. The separate corresponding computer command is executed if the input character matches the command character. In one embodiment, one particular input character results in emulating a right mouse button by displaying a submenu of shortcut icons, and the method is implemented by operation of a computer program in a mobile station.

A multiplex electrophoretic display driver circuit comprises a memory unit, a display controller and a voltage driving unit. The orientation of the character input area (102) is sensed relative to a housing (108) of the electronic device (100). The display image (110) on a display (104) of the electronic device (100) has its orientation changed to a predetermined orientation relative to the housing (108) as a function of the orientation of the character input area (102). The housing (108) has a physically rotatable keypad (102) and an electronically rotatable display image (110). A sensor (504) provides a sensor signal representative of the orientation of the keypad (102) relative to the housing (108) of the electronic device (100). Display drivers (508) form the display image (110) on the display (104). A processor (500) receives the sensor signal and in response thereto modifies the display drivers (508) to produce the display image (110) on the display (104) with an orientation relative to the housing (108) that is a function of the orientation of the keypad (102).

A system for assisting an end user to develop a musical composition comprising a data storage medium, a plurality of musical assets stored in the data storage medium, a user interface, and an audio converter module. Each of the plurality of musical assets are associated with a functional attribute and a visual attribute, where the visual attribute provides a visual suggestion to an end user regarding the functional attribute of the musical asset. The user interface is coupled to an audio interface, a display driver and a user input handler; and is capable of rendering a graphical display that enables the end user to select between one or more visual attributes. The audio converter module captures audio recorded by the end-user through the audio interface, processes the audio; and produces a multi-track musical compilation comprised of a plurality of audio tracks mixed together in a manner where the multiple tracks are substantially musically harmonious with one another. When the end-user selects one or more visual attributes via the user interface, the audio converter is also configured to identify the musical assets associated with the one or more selected visual attributes, and alter at least one portion of an audio track based on the functional attributes associated with the identified musical assets; wherein the audio track is one the plurality of audio tracks.

An embodiment of the display driver may include: an amplifying unit amplifying a photo sensing signal and a pressure sensing signal; a parallel-to-serial converting unit converting the amplified photo sensing signal and the amplified pressure sensing signal into serial sensing signals; and an analog-to-digital converter converting the serial sensing signals into digital sensing signals, wherein the amplifying unit, the parallel-to-serial converting unit, and the analog-to-digital converter operate in one of a normal mode and a power saving mode according to the pressure sensing signal.

A flexible electronic device and method of manufacture are disclosed. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a flexible electronic device includes a front; a back; and a plurality of layers disposed between the front and the back. A plurality of components, including processor, a memory, a display, a display driver, a battery, and a data interface, may be disposed on the layers. The flexible electronic device may also include a plurality of flex points so that the flexible electronic device can be flexed relative to each flex point. According to another embodiment of the invention, the method of manufacturing a flexible electronic device by lamination includes (1) providing a first source of front layers for the flexible electronic device; (2) providing a second source of back layers for the flexible electronic device; (3) providing a source for each interior layer of the flexible electronic device, at least one interior layer having at least one flexible electronic component disposed thereon; (4) pressing the front, interior, and back layers together, resulting in a laminate; and (5) curing the laminate.

Changes to the driver settings are dynamically previewed by forcing an executable graphics program module to load hardware parameter settings as changed, and drawing a region reflecting the changes using the executable graphics program library. The graphics program module may be forced to load new settings as a result of being newly instantiated. Conveniently, a preview region reflecting changes may be drawn in place of an already existing preview region.

A wireless wearable video headset device useful for viewing and listening to multimedia content. In one embodiment, the device operates by receiving a digital encoded audio / video signal from a host device of a Bluetooth™ wireless connection, the Bluetooth™ connection established via a Serial Port Profile (SPP), and the digital video signal having been previously compressed with Windows Media Video (WMV) or H. 264 compliant compression. The received digital audio / video signal is then forwarded over a Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection to an internal processor which then decompressed video content in the digital video signal to generate a component video signal that is suitable for handling by a display driver.
