The invention discloses a
blood pressure detection method and apparatus based on arterial load and photoelectric
pulse wave. By loading suitable pressure on a superficial position of a human
artery, diastolic
blood pressure and systolic
blood pressure can be acquired by calculating the blood pressure of the
artery according to load of the
artery and photoelectric
pulse wave of the downstream of the artery along the
blood flow direction, wherein the pressure is loaded at a superficial position of a human superficial position, such as the carotid artery, the
brachial artery, the
radial artery, the
femoral artery, the posterior auricular artery, the facial artery and the like; detection positions of the photoelectric
pulse wave are the pressurized position or at least one position which is at the downstream of the pressurized position along the
blood flow direction and selected from superficial positions of human arteries communicating with the pressurized artery; and a photoelectric pulse
wave detection path can be further added at a superficial position of a non-pressurized artery. The blood
pressure detection apparatus comprises an arterial load
signal path, at least one photoelectric pulse
signal path and a fixing structure. Mapping relation between blood pressure and the
signal paths is acquired by establishing a learning model on bases of the arterial load signal path and the photoelectric pulse signal path; and blood
pressure detection is realized on basis of the mapping relation. The blood
pressure detection method and apparatus are mainly used for detecting blood pressure of the
human body or an animal.
