The ranking of an alarm event may be determined by alarm level. If two alarm events are associated with the same alarm level, the ranking of the alarm events may be determined by parameter priority. Alarm event ranking is communicated by display in a hierarchical structure. When an alarm event ranking changes, the alarm event may shift up or down the hierarchical structure, depending on whether the ranking increased or decreased.

The invention relates to a system and a method for the prediction of epileptic seizures by continuous measurement of at least one signal on the body of a user. A sensor unit measures the heart rate continuously and is connected to a processor unit. The processor unit comprises a verification unit, which stores those measurements that comprise verifiable heartbeats or heart rates in a database. An analysis unit in the processor analyzes the verified measurements to determine whether a preictal phase is present or not. The processor comprises a summation unit, which continuously determines the value of an indication signal on the basis of the signal from the analysis unit. The signal indicates the probability of an imminent epileptic seizure. The value of the indication signal may be determined on the basis of at least two values of the signal from the analysis unit. An alarm unit connected to the processor unit generates one or more alarms, if the indication signal exceeds one or more alarm levels.

The system utilizes a digital memory component of the RFID transponder to record and maintain historical measurements to aid in determining machine condition trending. The RFID transponder interacts with a machine condition advisor (MCA), where the MCA obtains a configuration and historical data from the RFID transponder, queries sensors, collects data, transfers updated data to the RFID sensor, and determines and displays condition trending. Machine condition trending can be displayed in a graphical format. Warning or alarm levels can be established enabling the system to determine machine conditions warranting alerting a machine technician. Each machine condition trending can be independent of or associated with the associated warning or alarm level.

The nodes monitor power quality based on a number of system parameters. These data are assembled into data blocks and are analyzed to determine load factors for the system over time. Data blocks are collected over 22 cycle periods and are evaluated against a derived standard deviation factor for the given system. The standard deviation is used to determine alert and alarm levels. The constant monitoring allows the system to alert workers of a potential upcoming fault in one or more system components.
