The invention aims to provide a method for constructing a medium-low yield
field soil plough layer structure of Xinjiang muskmelons. According to the method, previous
straw crops are crushed and returned to the field, mechanically deep plowing, deep scarifying and flooding
irrigation in winter are carried out, a base
fertilizer is applied in the next year,
irrigation with sufficient water is ensured before
sowing, and
disease-resistant, high-quality and high-yield varieties are selected; a
soil conditioner or a mineral source

fertilizer is applied along with water in a melon
seedling stage and a flower
bud stage, so that the soil
nutrient content is gradually increased, the physical and chemical properties of soil are improved, the soil
bulk density is reduced, and a good soil
plough layer structure of a medium-low yield field of the muskmelons is constructed. The combination of
land utilization and recuperation is further promoted, the formation of a medium-low yield
field soil aggregate structure of the muskmelons is promoted, soft
plough layer texture, good drainage and air permeability, strong water and
fertilizer holding ability, good soil plowing suitability, light hardening degree and low
disease, pest and
weed occurrence rate are realized, and the seeding emergence rate and strong
seedling rate of the muskmelons can be increased; and meanwhile, adverse effects of
continuous cropping obstacles are reduced, then the reasonable plough layer soil requirements for yield increase and stable yield are met, and finally, the aim of continuous high yield and high quality of the muskmelons is achieved.
