Control Method and Device For Engine

A control method and a control device of an engine are introduced. During the process of the engine controlling, the control unit does the adaptive learning for the actual target value of the feedback of different aims, and following the dynamic spectrogram generation strategy optimizing compares the adaptively learning parameter of the same working status and the same time with the basic spectrogram parameter. If the compared result doesn't meet the condition, then keep the basic spectrogram parameter. And if it meets the condition, then the engine generates the dynamic spectrogram parameter. Based on the dynamic spectrogram combination strategy, the engine combines the basic spectrogram parameter and the dynamic spectrogram parameter generated to the combined spectrogram parameter instead of the basic spectrogram parameter.

Method and apparatus for determining neighboring routing elements and rerouting traffic in a computer network

A method and apparatus for rerouting traffic in a computer network select a routing element, apply a subnet mask to an interface address of the routing element to generate subnet addresses, determine the address of neighboring elements from the subnet addresses, and obtain configuration information from the neighboring elements. Network topology is determined from the configuration information, a link in the network topology is selected, and a cost associated with the link is modified. The modified cost renders the link less desirable for routing. A method and apparatus for determining the address of neighboring routing elements in a computer network, combine a subnet mask and interface address associated in a bitwise AND operation to generate subnet addresses, disregard the highest and lowest subnet addresses and the address of the selected routing element from the subnet addresses, and identify the remaining subnet address as associated with the neighboring routing element.

Method and apparatus for synthesizing multiple localizable formats into a canonical format

Method and apparatus for synthesizing multiple localizable file formats into a canonical format. Embodiments may provide a file format-independent localization mechanism that automates the extraction of localizable text content from localizable files of different file formats and generates translation kits formatted according to a canonical format. The generated translation kits may include localizable text content from the localizable files for which translations were not found in a translation database. The generated translation kits may be handed off to translators for translation of the localizable text content in the translation kits. The translated text content in the translation kits may then be imported into the translation database and merged by the localization mechanism into localized versions of the localizable files while preserving the original file structure of the files.

A flow cytometer (700) capable of using electronics (7, 9) to analyze a large dynamic range while avoiding and / or correcting traditional limitations of acquisition electronics. The invention allows for measuring signal characteristics, which may include but are not limited to linear peak, integral, logarithmic peak, and pulse width. Other system parameters may also be generated by the invention to indicate timing or status information. Accurate and precise measurements may be performed by correcting for input errors if needed, and by transforming the input signal (1) to produce a more easily measured form.

High bandwidth oscilloscope

A method for improving bandwidth of an oscilloscope involves, in preferred embodiments, use of frequency up-conversion and down-conversion techniques to achieve a system bandwidth that significantly exceeds the bandwidth attainable through interleaving alone. In an illustrative embodiment the technique involves separating an input signal into a high frequency content and a low frequency content, down-converting the high frequency content in the analog domain so that it may be processed by the oscilloscope's analog front end, digitizing the low frequency content and the down-converted high frequency content, and forming a digital representation of the received analog signal from the digitized low frequency content and high frequency content. In this manner preferred embodiments achieve the significant advantage that bandwidth may be enhanced beyond the limits associated with interleaving and the state of the art in amplifier and ADC design.

Vehicle dynamic control using pulsed active steering strategy

A pulse active steering control system and method for use in a motor vehicle for improving vehicle stability by reducing a likelihood for rollover and / or skidding sends pulses to the steerable wheels whenever a rollover coefficient and / or the difference between the estimated and actual yaw rate is outside a predetermined range. The pulses are asymmetrical in the form of a smooth curve with a gradually increasing rapid rising edge and a slower falling edge and provide steering input that, along with the driver steering input, returns the rollover coefficient and / or yaw rate to the predetermined range to reduce the likelihood of rollover and / or skidding.

Internal combustion engine control system

A control system for an internal combustion engine includes a virtual engine model which mathematically represents the states of the engine in real time, but which is programmed to provide the engine's states at least a fraction of an engine cycle (and preferably at least one-fourth of an engine cycle, i.e., one stroke) to several engine cycles in advance of the real engine. The mass flow entering and leaving the cylinder is modeled, allowing parameters such as the mass of air per cylinder (MAC) and residual exhaust gas to be computed, and thereafter used to generate engine control commands related to fuel injection (air / fuel ratio), spark advance, and so forth.

Methods for automated uniformity assessment and modification of image non-uniformities

Methods for automated uniformity assessment and modification of image non-uniformities using an image measurement device capable of determining image reflectance and / or transmitter as a function of position, such as a spectrophotometer, a calorimeter, and / or a densitometer. One or more of these devices scan an image on a substrate, such as a sheet, thereby generating data representing image characteristics, such as, for example, image non-uniformity. The sheet may contain a reference / test pattern including one column, strip or patch intended to have a uniform density. This data generated by the device after the scan of the substrate is analyzed with signal processing algorithms for image characteristics assessment, including image spatial uniformity and compared to reference image characteristics including image spatial uniformity. An image modification profile may be generated to be applied to a marking system to thereby alter subsequent image data and improve image spatial uniformity of the marking system.

Compensating layer to reduce wavefront errors in coatings on mirrors for optical systems

A method is disclosed for reducing or eliminating the wavefront error caused by variations in the thickness of an optical coating applied to a mirror without requiring that the thickness variation in the optical coating be reduced to reduce the wavefront error. The reduction in the wavefront error is achieved by adding a compensating layer to the top of the optical coating. The thickness of the compensating layer is directly proportional to the thickness of the optical coating and inversely proportional to one minus the index of refraction of the material used for the compensating layer.
