The present invention is directed to a machine with a position feedback system and a method for use thereof. The machine includes at least one movable element mounted for movement on a path and at least one programmable controller. The machine further includes at least two absolute or magnetostrictive sensors or the machine includes an absolute sensor and a non-absolute sensor. The programmable controller uses positional information from the sensors to determine the position of the movable elements on the path and control the movable elements. The method includes determining a known position for the movable elements, linking at least two magnetostrictive sensors into one virtual sensor, and / or performing commutation alignment for the movable elements. Determining the position and commutation alignment can occur when the movable elements are stationary or moving.

In a first embodiment, a hydraulically-formed nonwoven sheet, a package comprising such sheet, a method of packaging a medical device using a package with such sheet and a method of manufacturing such sheet are provided. This nonwoven sheet comprises first and second non-cellulosic polymeric fibers. The first non-cellulosic polymeric fibers have an average diameter less than about 3.5 micron, an average cut length less than about 3 millimeters and an average aspect ratio of about 400 to about 2000; the second non-cellulosic polymeric fibers have an average diameter greater than about 3.5 micron and an average aspect ratio of about 400 to about 1000. In a second embodiment, a hydraulically-formed nonwoven sheet is provided. This nonwoven sheet comprises binding material, non-cellulosic polymeric fibers and cellulosic based materials. The non-cellulosic polymeric fibers have an average diameter less than about 3.5 micron, an average cut length less than about 3 millimeters and an average aspect ratio of about 400 to about 2000. The second nonwoven sheet has a bacterial filtration efficiency of at least about 98%.

The securing ring is formed from a thermoplastic and / or elastic material. Embodiments of the invention relate to a cover, a method of covering, and a cover system to be used with shipments of products transported by air with ULDs. The dimensions of the cover system can vary depending on the ULD they are designed to be used with. The cover system can also be adapted to any individual skid such as wooden or plastic pallets used for smaller loads used in air transport or any other mode of transportation. The cover system can include one or multiple parts that wrap the shipment. Each part of the cover system can be made of one or more layers. Each layer can be made of a single material or a combination of different materials, and different layers can incorporate different materials. The different parts of the cover can be made of different materials or different combination of materials. In specific embodiments, materials used for the cover system are Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) friendly. The cover system provides thermal protection to temperature-sensitive products in or on the ULD. The cover system maintains the proper relative humidity level and gas concentrations (oxygen, carbon dioxide and ethylene) for horticultural product loads. The cover system can also have antimicrobial properties. In addition, the cover system decreases the amount of water vapor released in the cargo holds which is known to affect the reliability of the aircraft smoke detection system and to cause false fire alarms.
