3531 results about "Via fence" patented technology

A via fence, also called a picket fence, is a structure used in planar electronic circuit technologies to improve isolation between components which would otherwise be coupled by electromagnetic fields. It consists of a row of via holes which, if spaced close enough together, form a barrier to electromagnetic wave propagation of slab modes in the substrate. Additionally if radiation in the air above the board is also to be suppressed, then a strip pad with via fence allows a shielding can to be electrically attached to the top side, but electrically behave as if it continued through the PCB.

Automated geo-fence boundary configuration and activation

A geo-fence is defined and established automatically based on a current location of an asset along with some range or distance, avoiding the need for a user to manually specify a location by drawing a perimeter, specifying a point location, or by any other means. Once established, the geo-fence can be activated so as to notify the owner of the asset and / or some other entity of movement of the asset beyond the boundary specified by the geo-fence. In one embodiment, the geo-fence can be automatically activated upon certain conditions, or can be manually activated, or any combination thereof.

A tracking system includes a global positioning system (GPS) module and a modem for mobile communications both attached to a pet (or other trackee), and a virtual fence (which includes a base station sending a signal to a certain range and a receiver attached to the pet (or other trackee) and receiving the signal sent by a base station when the receiver is within the range of the base station). A portable virtual fence system includes a signal-sending base station, and a signal-receiver worn by a to-be-fenced pet or other trackee. Advantageously, the base station is portable. The size of the virtual fence can be expanded to fit any shaped geometry using signal repeater or transceiver devices. In addition, more than one pet can be tracked using a single virtual fence and base station. Upon confirmation that a trackee has breached the fence and should be tracked, a service center can provide location information of the trackee as well directions to the trackee by voice or transmission of mapping and other imaging displays to the responsible party seeking to locate the trackee. Power management is enhanced by either turning off the power to the tracking devices (e.g., GPS or GSM or other device) after a report, or by dynamically varying the time reports are made without deactivating the tracking devices.

Heat Exchange Using Underground Water System

In this disclosure, we have the following examples and teachings: A geothermal heating and or cooling system is introduced here which is deriving cooled or heated liquid via existing infrastructure of water pipe system in use for the houses and buildings, e.g. from the city water system or pipe network, or from the well water (or lake or river or sea or ocean or the like), piped or channeled to the buildings, through pipes or conduits or channels or closed enclosures. The system derives cooled liquid from existing underground infrastructure, including or for example, below-ground water pipes. The system gains a temperature advantage from the geothermal ground temperature, which remains roughly constant throughout the year in most regions. The system uses (e.g.) a storage tank to contain a working fluid and store thermal energy. In one example, multiple chambers and / or tanks are used for water heaters or coolers, with different connection and flow mechanisms. Other examples and designs are also discussed and shown here.

Fence system

A modular fence system. The system includes fence planks designed for insertion into open channels of upper and lower fence rails. The fence rails are supported in a horizontal orientation between intermittent fence posts, with the fence planks extending vertically between the rails. The planks include resilient protrusions, called plank-projections, at their upper ends. The plank-projections are designed to engage with channel-projections formed in the open channels of the upper fence rail and lower fence rail, to inhibit inadvertent removal of the planks from the upper rail. Alternatively, the plank-projections may be eliminated in favor of having the channel-projections simply grip the planks frictionally, or, vice versa, the channel-projections could be eliminated in favor of having the plank-projections press frictionally against the walls of the open channels in the upper rail or lower rail or both. Accordingly, the engagement between the upper rail and the planks takes some weight off the lower rail such that fewer support posts are needed, and that engagement can be provided with just the channel-projections, or just the plank-projections, or both.

Electric fence monitoring method for unmanned aerial vehicle plant protecting operations

InactiveCN106406189AReliable out-of-bounds determinationEfficient cross-border judgmentProgramme controlComputer controlInformation processingFlight direction
The invention belongs to the technological field of agricultural plant protecting information processing, and discloses an electric fence monitoring method for unmanned aerial vehicle plant protecting operations. An agricultural plant protecting operation plot has boundaries and to ensure the security and efficiency of a plant protection unmanned aerial vehicle in executing the operations of plant protecting, the plant protection unmanned aerial vehicle should not trespass the boundaries. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor the electric fence for the unmanned aerial vehicle plant protecting operations. The method in doing so comprises the following steps: 1) generating in a dynamic manner a security boundary; 2) establishing a dual link communication system based on an unmanned aerial vehicle radio station and a 4G module; and 3) determining the boundary trespassing and the tendency of trespassing of the unmanned aerial vehicle so as to raise the detection efficiency of the boundary trespassing of the unmanned aerial vehicle. According to the invention, it is possible to make pre-warnings when there is tendency for the unmanned aerial vehicle to trespass the boundary so that the user of the unmanned aerial vehicle is able to change the flight direction instantly and that high efficiency unmanned aerial vehicle boundary trespassing can be detected. Therefore, the computational complexity is reduced greatly and the algorithmic efficiency is increased.
