Digital x-ray camera

Portable x-ray devices and methods for using such devices are described. The devices have an x-ray tube powered by an integrated power system. The x-ray tube is shielded with a low-density insulating material containing a high-Z substance. The devices can also have an integrated display component. With these components, the size and weight of the x-ray devices can be reduced and the portability of the devices enhanced. The x-ray devices also have an x-ray detecting means that is not structurally attached to the device and therefore is free standing. Consequently, the x-ray devices can also be used as a digital x-ray camera. The portable x-ray devices are especially useful for applications where portability is an important feature such as in field work, remote operations, and mobile operations such as nursing homes, home healthcare, or teaching classrooms. This portability feature can be particularly useful in multi-suite medical and dental offices where a single x-ray device can be used as a digital x-ray camera in multiple offices instead of requiring a separate device in every office.

Portable digital tomosynthesis imaging system and method

A portable tomosynthesis imaging system is disclosed that includes a portable X-ray source assembly and a portable detector assembly. The source assembly may be coupled to a portable power supply and controller such that multiple projection X-ray images may be obtained at a site that is not accessible by conventional tomosynthesis imaging systems. Image data may be transmitted from the detector by wired or wireless communication. Tomosynthesis image reconstruction may be performed locally at the portable system or remotely by the transmission of raw or filtered image data from the portable system. The portable system is particularly well-suited to field deployment, such as at accident scenes, scenes of natural or other disasters, or in confined clinical settings.

Method and device for quickly detecting heavy metal contents and spacial distribution in soil

The invention relates to a method for quickly detecting heavy metal contents and spacial distribution in soil, which comprises the following steps that: A) a portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometer detects the heavy metal contents in soil of a point to be detected, and a global positioning system connected with the portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometer acquires geographical coordinates of thepoint and the soil water content of the point at the same time; B) the geographical coordinates of the point to be detected are input to a calibration database, and a computer automatically acquires corresponding soil type and calibration coefficient of the soil type; C) soil water content data acquired in step A are input to the calibration database, and a calibration coefficient which corresponds to the data is automatically acquired; D) the influence of the soil type and the soil water content on the heavy metal measured value acquired in step A is deducted by the oil type calibration coefficient acquired in step B and the soil water content calibration coefficient acquired in step C; and E) the calibrated heavy metal measured value acquired in step D is combined with a topography and a land utilization electronic map of an area to be detected to immediately generate a visual soil heavy metal content spacial distribution map.

Method for judging heavy metal detection type of portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometry

The invention discloses a method for judging the heavy metal detection type of a portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, wherein the method is mainly designed to judge the metal detection type when heavy metals in soil are detected by using PXRF. The method comprises the following steps: (1) respectively using the portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometry and a standard method for measuring the content of the heavy metals in the soil to obtain a rapid measurement value and a standard method measurement value; (2) calculating evaluation parameters according to the rapid measurement value and the standard method measurement value of the heavy metals obtained in step (1), if the calculated evaluation parameters are in a predetermined threshold range, determining that the heavy metals can be detected directly by the portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometry within a detection range; if the calculated evaluation parameters are not in the predetermined threshold range, determining that the heavy metals cannot be detected directly by the portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometry beyond the detection range.
