77 results about "Metric system" patented technology

The metric system is an internationally recognised decimalised system of measurement. It is in widespread use, and where it is adopted, it is the only or most common system of weights and measures (see metrication). It is now known as the International System of Units (SI). It is used to measure everyday things such as the mass of a sack of flour, the height of a person, the speed of a car, and the volume of fuel in its tank. It is also used in science, industry and trade.

A plurality of nodal members is used to make one-way or round-trip measurements over asymmetrical paths. The system includes a database for storing measurement data recorded by the plurality of nodal members. A workstation is also contemplated to facilitate system configuration and reporting of measurement data. The system further includes at least one service daemon for interfacing between the plurality of nodal members and the database. Additionally, the service daemon instructs the plurality of nodal members to create vectors and obtain vector configuration from the database. The service daemon processes results data transmitted from the nodal members to the database.

Synchronization of agent skill data

A method and system for automatically updating and synchronizing contact center agent skill data maintained in a central agent skill database with a routing system based upon skill-changing events triggered in skill-impacting systems. Contact center agent skills may be maintained in a skill database for a set of agents. A skill-impacting system (such as an education system, a satisfaction system or a metrics system) may send skill / capability data for an agent. The agent's profile in the skill database may be updated based on the received skill data. Either immediately, when triggered by an event, or at a predetermined interval, a routing system's routing logic may be synchronized with the new data in the agent's profile. When the contact center receives a contact (such as a phone call, an email, a web chat, an instant message, or a fax) from a customer, processing logic in the routing system may select a best-fit agent based on availability and skill data from the agent profiles.

Automatic Video Quality Measurement System and Method Based on Spatial-Temporal Coherence Metrics

An automatic video quality (AVQ) metric system for evaluating the quality of processed video and deriving an estimate of a subjectively determined function called Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF). The AVQ system has a blockiness metric, a streakiness metric, and a blurriness metric. The blockiness metric can be used to measure compression artifacts in processed video. The streakiness metric can be used to measure network artifacts in the processed video. The blurriness metric can measure the degradation (i.e., blurriness) of the images in the processed video to detect compression artifacts.

Rapid screening method of processing raw rice for rice products

A rapid screening method of processing raw materials for rice products is disclosed. The invention establishes a membership function between the raw materials and the processing suitability of raw materials by adopting theories in fuzzy mathematics. In combination with the analytic hierarchy process to obtain the weight of each evaluation index, the invention then establishes a two-level evaluation model for evaluating the quality of the rice products to improve the scientificity and accuracy of rice products' quality evaluation. On the basis of the above, a mathematical model between the characteristics of raw materials and the comprehensive evaluation values of the quality of rice products is constructed through regression analyses, which can quantitatively calculate the suitability of different varieties of raw materials in the processing of rice products and can provide support for reasonable use of the raw materials.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for generating service order count metrics

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are for generating service order count metrics. A selected subset of all customer order information is extracted from a database table and stored in a summary table and detail table. The information, including text strings associated with communication device identifiers, is extracted for a selected period of time, linked together by order number, and stored in a completions table within a local database. The completions table is searched in cycles according to different search criteria of decreasing order of reliability in order to reconcile the order information in the completions table with the completed order count from the summary table. Once the orders in the completions table are accurate, logic is employed to count the number of communication device identifiers from the text strings corresponding to each order number.
