The present invention provides several embodiments of an elongate hollow tubular or solid rod lighting device including a plurality of LEDs therewith and appropriate electrical componentry, and serving as a direct replacement for a conventional fluorescent light tube in a conventional fluorescent lighting fixture. The present lighting device includes appropriate connector pins extending from each end thereof, enabling the device to be installed in a conventional fluorescent lighting fixture with no modification to the fixture. The light may include appropriate electrical componentry such as a step-down transformer to provide the required voltage for the LEDs, either integrally within the light, incorporated in an end cap thereof, or installed separately therefrom in the fixture, as desired. The light may be colored or tinted as desired by the use of LEDs providing the desired color output, and / or by installing a tinted sleeve over the tube or rod as desired.

Image processing enhances display quality by controlling both the image modulator and the light sources to produce the best possible visual images. The image processing system utilizes a combination of user inputs, system configuration, design information, sensor feedback, pixel modulation information, and lighting control information to characterize the display environment on a per pixel basis. This per pixel characterization information is combined with one or more frames of the incoming real time display data. The image processing system processes each incoming pixel and produces a modified corresponding output pixel. Each pixel of each frame is processed accordingly. In addition to producing modified output pixels, the image processing system produces control information for the light sources. The light source control information can control individual lamps, tubes or LEDs, or can control a block or subset of the light sources. The resulting display has improved image consistency, enhanced color gamut, higher dynamic range and is better able to portray high motion content.

The LED lamp strip comprises a substrate, wherein a plurality of LED light sources are welded on the substrate, or an integrated light source consisting of an LED chip is packaged on the substrate; and a driving power supply module is also arranged on the LED lamp strip. According to the LED lamp tube disclosed by the invention, the light emitting efficiency, the light emitting angle and the illumination area of the LED lamp tube are increased; the problems of glare and point light existing in the LED lamp tube are solved; heat generated by an LED is transmitted to the whole glass tube through the substrate of the LED, so that the heat radiating area is greatly increased and the heat increasing speed of the LED lamp tube is increased; the LED lamp tube can be applied to a lamp holder of a traditional fluorescent lamp, and thus the generality of the LED lamp tube is greatly improved; and the replacement and use costs are reduced.

CCFL illuminated device and method of use

A Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp (CCFL) is enclosed within a bulb normally used for incandescent fixtures. The CCFL is bent into a u-shape to fit within the bulb and the ballast can be installed in the lamp base. In an alternative embodiment, one or more CCFLs is enclosed within a fluorescent lamp tube or bulb with bi pin end caps. An insert in the end cap can support the CCFLs. Contact is made to the CCFLs through a connection with the pins of the end caps. In an alternative arrangement, the CCFLs are supported within the tube by electrode wires connecting to the pins.

An LED lamp has an LED lamp board mounted in a lamp tube and two LED holder caps respectively mounted around two ends of the lamp tube.
