Medical protective table sheets

A disposable slip-resistant and preferably absorbent protective medical table sheet for protecting a medical table, such as an operating table or an examination table, from contamination due to contact with bodily fluids or other contaminants associated with a patient positioned upon the table sheet covering the medical table, and for resisting slippage between the patient and the table sheet and between the table sheet and the medical table and, if a lift sheet is used, between the table sheet and the lift sheet. The table sheet preferably includes an impermeable layer with a slip-resistant and absorbent layer of foam material on its upper side and a distribution of slip-resistant material on its lower side. The lower side of the impermeable layer may itself be comprised of slip-resistant material. The table sheet is preferably fan-and-book-foldable into a compact yet rapidly unfoldable table sheet.

Image acquisition, archiving and rendering system and method for reproducing imaging modality examination parameters used in an initial examination for use in subsequent radiological imaging

A CT- or MRT-assisted image acquisition, image archiving and image rendering system allows generation, storage, post-processing, retrieval and graphical visualization of computed or magnetic resonance tomography image data that, for example, can be used in the clinical field in the framework of radiological slice image diagnostics as well as in the framework of interventional radiology. Moreover, a method implemented by this system allows reproduction of patient-specific examination parameters of an initial examination implemented by means of computed or magnetic resonance tomography imaging in the framework of CT or MRT follow-up examinations (“follow-ups”), for example in a post-operative tumor examination implemented under slice image monitoring in connection with a histological tissue sample extraction (biopsy) implemented under local anesthesia or a minimally-invasive intervention implemented for tumor treatment. Acquisition, measurement, 2D and / or 3D reconstruction parameters from a radiological initial examination of the patient conducted by means of CT, PET-CT or MRT as well as position data to establish the position adopted by this patient on the examination table of a computed tomography or magnetic resonance tomography apparatus are electronically documented, retrievably and persistently stored, and are automatically reused given subsequent CT-, PET-CT- or MRT-based monitoring examinations, or CT-controlled or MRT-controlled interventional or operative procedures.

Height-adjustable examining table

An examination table for use in the medical field comprising integral adjustment mechanisms for raising, lowering, and tilting a head cushion portion, is herein disclosed. The adjustment mechanisms further comprise an internal hydraulic moving means. The height adjustment mechanism would allow the tabletop to vary in height from approximately eighteen (18) to thirty-six (36) inches. In this manner, the table would allow a patient to simply sit down and then be elevated to a suitable height for a doctor or other medical personnel to perform needed medical procedures. Such a feature is envisioned as being invaluable to those who are handicapped, elderly, or small in stature.

Automatic standardized electrocardiogram collecting system and method

The invention relates to an automatic standardized electrocardiogram collecting system and method. The system comprises electrodes, a mechanical arm, an examination table, a human body silhouette recognition subsystem, a pressure distribution testing subsystem, a skin treatment testing subsystem, an electronic voice subsystem and a main control computer. The human body silhouette recognition subsystem is used for obtaining human body silhouette information of an examinee and computing position information of four limbs and a chest wall; the pressure distribution testing subsystem is used for collecting pressure distribution information of the weight of the examinee and conducting pressure measurement on the chest wall to compute position information of an anatomic position of the chest wall; the skin treatment testing subsystem is used for executing skin treatment and measuring whether or not the resistance value reaches the standards under constant pressure; the electronic voice subsystem is used for broadcasting explanation or operation instructions. By means of the automatic standardized electrocardiogram collecting system and method, electrocardiogram collecting is more objective and scientific, so that the electrocardiogram recording quality can be improved, and direct contact between a doctor and a patient during electrocardiogram examination is avoided, and accordingly automation and standardization of electrocardiogram collecting are achieved.
