An architecture for facilitating Web-based client-side calendar event scheduling includes a Web Calendar scheduling tool which takes input via either a mouse and / or a keyboard to achieve a) an Internet personal organizer, b) multimedia effects associated with scheduled events, c) an Internet groupware that shares group members' individual schedules, d) an Internet transaction associated with scheduled events, and e) an open platform that supports any Java applet. Users of the Web Calendar can schedule events, associate a special purpose Capplet TM with scheduled events, and store them for future reference or public use. It features concurrent Capplet TM views running under one of four calendar grids: yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily. The architecture also supports multimedia animation in pop-up windows whose dimensions are defined dynamically by an invocation method. It is an open platform on which any user can create a special purpose applet and run it on the Web Calendar.

Event planning system

An event planning process is provided for execution by a server system in a computer network including a plurality of user terminals communicatively coupled with the server system via the network. The process includes the steps of: providing an event planning graphical user interface at a user terminal, the interface enabling a user to plan an event; receiving event information input by the user, the event information indicating a scheduled event, at least one invitee to be invited to the scheduled event, and information indicative of RSVP fees required to attend the scheduled event; providing an invitation to the invitee, the invitation indicating the scheduled event and the RSVP fees, and soliciting a response to the invitation, wherein an affirmative response to the invitation requires a payment as defined by the RSVP fees; receiving RSVP status information including payment information from the invitee; and verifying the payment information. The steps of providing an invitation to the invitee and receiving RSVP status information further include: generating an invitation Web page based on the event information, the invitation Web page being accessible via the network and being operative to provide an invitation response graphical user interface for enabling the invitee to respond to the invitation; sending an invitation message to the invitee, the invitation message prompting the invitee to view the invitation Web page; and receiving input provided by the invitee via the invitation Web page, the input provided by the invitee indicating the RSVP status information.

Method and system for scheduling distribution routes and timeslots

Computer-based methods and systems for dynamically scheduling the distribution of products and services among a system of routes and timeslots are provided. Exemplary embodiments provide a Route and Timeslot Scheduler (the “RTS”), which controls the creation, quantity, and allocation of schedule stops (or events) for each timeslot of each route based upon a calendar and template system. Each route typically represents a geographic area to which products can be delivered. Each timeslot typically represents a window of time, during which delivery stops (or events) can be scheduled. Scheduled stops / events are created based upon defaults which are specified in the template system. A calendar system is provided to specify which routes and timeslots, which would otherwise be available based upon the template system, are actually applicable to be scheduled on a given calendar day. The RTS creates scheduled stops for a designated point.

Method and system for providing in-line scheduling in an on-demand service

In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for providing in-line scheduling in an on-demand service in a database system. These mechanisms and methods for providing in-line scheduling can enable embodiments to provide a multi-tenant database that stores client scheduling information, client customer contact information, and enables drag and drop event scheduling. In a multi-tenant database, a system for managing client customer contact information and event scheduling is established, which may be useful for a tenant that is a salesperson or that employs salespersons. The multi-tenant database may include a combined view application that provides for the simultaneous display of a calendar view and list view of contact information. The multi-tenant database may further include drag and drop functionality, allowing list view information to be dragged and dropped onto the calendar view for event scheduling. The ability of embodiments to provide drag and drop inline event scheduling can enable efficient calendaring of events by rapidly transferring relevant information onto a calendar.

Method and system for prioritizing meeting attendees

A system for prioritizing meeting attendees based on a scheduling user's perspective in an event scheduling system. The system provides a user interface for a scheduling user that enables them to prioritize individual prospective attendees, or groups of prospective attendees, in a way allows for easier evaluation by the scheduling user of a greater number of potential event times for a desired event, in situations where it may not be possible to establish an acceptable event time across all prospective attendees. The scheduling user can indicate a number N of priority levels, and the disclosed system operates to supply prospective event times relevant to each priority. Accordingly, where a scheduling user has assigned prospective attendees to priorities 1 through N, where priority 1 is the highest, the disclosed system would respond by simultaneously presenting to the scheduling user with N sets of prospective event times corresponding to the assigned priorities. Specifically, a first set of prospective event times would be presented that satisfy the availability constraints of all prospective attendees of priority 1, a second set of prospective event times would be presented that satisfy the availability constraints of all attendees of priorities 1 and 2, a third set of prospective event times would be presented that satisfy the availability constraints of all prospective attendees of priorities 1, 2 and 3, and so on through a set of prospective event times that satisfy the availability constraints of all prospective attendees of priorities 1 through N.

Consensus and preference event scheduling

The invention described here utilizes the Internet and other communication and social media conduits to create a meeting or an event, with the specific details decided by consensus. This scheduling system streamlines, simplifies, broadens, and automates the process. The organizer initially creates a proposed event with a single or multiple date options. The organizer then adds candidate participants via social media accounts, for example: Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn; or other participant identifiers such as: email addresses, cellphone numbers, etc. Each created event can be altered until the specified end-date, the final date by which all participants may feedback their choices and preferences for this event.
