A method of presenting glucose data to a person with diabetes from a blood glucose meter is provided in which an effective meal average (EMA) value is presented, followed by two or more of the individual values that make up the EMA, to provide improved feedback data for clinical decisions by patients who need to alter their dose of insulin. The EMA can also comprise a measure of the variability of its constituent values. The EMA encompasses those values that occur at specified times such as 1 hour before and 1 hour after a specified meal time. The EMA is calculated over a limited number of days previous to the calculation (e.g., 3 days) and has a minimum number of values that must be obtained within the time and date ranges. An algorithm allows for exclusion of any given reading from the average (e.g., post-prandial or control solution readings). Patients can use 1 to 8 EMA on any given date range (e.g., preferably 4, that is, breakfast, lunch, supper and bedtime snack).

Once the hierarchical Bayes model is executed, the finite samples generated by a Metropolis-Hastings within Gibbs sampling routine enable the inference of net dollar loss estimation and corresponding variance. In turn, the posterior distributions enable the risk analysis corresponding to lifetime loss estimates for routine risk management, the valuation of derivative financial instruments, risk-based pricing for secondary markets or new debt obligations, optimal holdings, and regulatory capital requirements. Posterior distributions and analytical results are dynamically processed and shared with other computers in a global network configuration.

Various embodiments of the present invention are related to incident tracking systems and methods. A method allows for receiving input that specifies an incident at a facility, defining a search area adjacent to a position of the incident, and displaying one or more other incidents that occurred at the facility within the search area. A further method allows for dynamically plotting, each time a search area is changed on a map of a facility and an associated date range is indicated, positions on the map within the search area so as to indicate where incidents have occurred at the facility within the date range. Another method allows for receiving input that specifies a name of a person associated with an incident at a facility, and automatically flagging the person as being of interest if the person has been involved in one or more other incidents at the facility.

Systems and methods for managing large oil field operations are provided. A oil field map is displayed on a monitor. The oil field map includes oil well objects, oil field facility objects, surface work crew objects, subsurface work crew objects, safety zones objects, and work equipment rig objects associated with at least one work crew object and having a geographic locater device for tracking its location, each of the objects include a date attribute and a location attribute. The oil field map is customizable by date and has a date selector tool. At least two surface or sub-surface work crew objects are scheduled via a domain-specific software application from which the surface or sub-surface work crew object was extracted. The scheduling of the surface or sub-surface work crew objects is repeated until all surface and sub-surface work crews are scheduled for a date range of interest.

The marketing database system receives a comparison result from a SSN matching system that identifies at least one individual in a consumer database having a partial SSN that matches the partial SSN identified by the partial SSN system. The marketing database system places identifying information of the at least one individual in a marketing database. In one method, an individual is identified as a targeted consumer based on the individual's age being within a preselected age range and the individual's social security number being issued within a predetermined social security number SSN issue date range. Identifying information of the targeted consumer is stored in a contact database, which a business may use to directly market its goods or services.
