The invention discloses a
color response testing and correcting device and method for industrial color cameras. The device comprises an RGB three-color LED (Light-Emitting
Diode) array
light source, an LED driving controller, an
integrating sphere, a
colorimeter, industrial cameras to be detected, a
data acquisition card and a computer. The method comprises the following specific steps: adjusting the RGB three-color
LED array light source to output standard testing light, acquiring data of a plurality of images, calculating a mean value of camera RGB pixel output responses of different images, and building a response coefficient correction table with consistent RGB pixel point response outputs under the same RGB illumination intensity; and adjusting the
light source to other standard illumination conditions, acquiring data of a plurality of images under corresponding illumination conditions, and calculating a mean value of the camera RGB pixel output responses of different images. Camera
color correction models under different standard illumination conditions are subjected to least square fitting in order to match camera output colors with standard colors. Moreover, the models are input into a camera
color correction module to finish correction.
