The invention discloses a manual and automatic button for a water discharge valve. The manual and automatic button comprises a pressing cylinder, a button shell, a button, an electronic button, a pushing rod, a pushing rod locking block, a locking nut, a wired hose and a steel wire. The button shell is fixedly sleeved into the pressing cylinder and in bolt joint with the locking nut on the outer wall of the pressing cylinder for locking. The button, the electronic button and the pushing rod sequentially and movably sleeved into the button shell. The button is disposed at the end opening of the button shell. The pushing rod penetrates through the button shell. One end of the steel wire is fixedly connected to one end of the button shell. The pushing rod locking block is in fixed sleeve joint with one end of the wired hose and abuts against one end, away from the button, of the pushing rod. The wired hose is movable sleeve joint with the steel wire. By adoption of cooperation among the button, the pushing rod, the pushing rod locking block, the wired hose, the steel wire and the like, the function of opening the water discharge valve can be triggered off during power out in order to ensure that the function of the water discharge valve does not fail during power cut. The manual and automatic button for the water discharge valve is advantaged by being good in operation hand feeling, small in operation force, short in operation stroke and sensitive in triggering.
