Clot capture systems and associated methods

A clot capture system for disengaging a clot from a vessel wall and removing the clot from the vessel, comprises a clot capture device for placement on a distal side of a clot. The clot capture device has a retracted delivery configuration and an expanded deployed configuration. The clot removal device has a proximal support frame, and a distal fibre net. The support frame has a retracted delivery configuration and an expanded deployed configuration. The proximal support frame in the expanded configuration defines a proximal inlet mouth for engaging a clot and a net for confining the clot. An elongate member facilitates capture and / or withdrawal of a clot from a vessel.

Embolic protection systems

A system for enabling the insertion and removal of an embolic protection device, for capturing and retaining embolic debris which may be created during the performance of a therapeutic interventional procedure in a stenosed or occluded region of a blood vessel. The system, in an embodiment thereof, enables the device to be snap-fitted so as to engage the distal end of a guide wire, to be pre-formed for expansion thereof so as to seal off the inner surface of a blood vessel, to inhibit the forming of a gap therein, for inhibiting embolic material from passing therethrough, and to be foreshortened to enable insertion thereof through confined spaces. The system, in another embodiment thereof, enables expandable material to be formed into an expandable configuration of an embolic protection device for capturing embolic material, which is capable of sealing off the inner surface of the blood vessel.

Wave gear device having three-dimensionally contactable shifted tooth profile

Disclosed is a wave gear device (1) for setting the flexible state of the principal section (30) of a flexible external gear in a normal-deflection state (at a deflection coefficient κ=1). The moving locus of a tooth profile in the principal section (30) is determined by a rack approximation, and a similar curve (BC), which is obtained by similarly transforming a curve (AB) cut from that moving locus, is used to define the fundamental addendum shape of the tooth profile in the principal section. The portion of the tooth profile of the flexible external gear other than the principal section is shifted so that both each negative-deflection side moving locus (M3), which is obtained in each plane of rotation to deflect in a negative deflection state (at the deflection coefficient κ<1) closer to the diaphragm side than the principal section and each positive-deflection side moving locus (M2), which is obtained in each plane of rotation to deflect in a positive deflection state (at the deflection coefficient κ>1) closer to the front end opening side than the principal section, may become curves (M3a and M2a) to contact at the bottom (a point (P)) of a normal-deflection moving locus (M1). The partial meshing engagement can also be held at the section other than the principal section in the tooth trace direction, so that the load torque performance of the wave gear device can be advantageously improved.

Over-center self-adjusting equalizing cap chuck

An over-center self adjusting cap chuck adapted for operative attachment to a high-speed capping machine includes a housing having an outer peripheral surface defining an inner annular periphery with an interior face. A plurality of independent engagement jaws are aligned along an annular area of, or within a pocket area of, the interior face. Each engagement jaw has a fastener to connect the engagement jaw to the housing and establish a pivot point to support a limited axial rotational movement thereof to a first open axial position and a second closed axial position for receiving and gripping a work piece respectively. Either a singular bias spring or a pair of bias springs pre-dispose the engagement jaws to the first open axial position. The engagement jaws include an upper beveled area above a work piece engagement finger that serves as an actuator when contacted by a work piece for self-adjusting movement to the second closed axial position whereby the gripping pressure upon the work piece is direct toward a center-point of a work piece receiving area until the pressure thereon is equalized.
