The invention relates specifically to the physical and chemical characteristics of an air and liquid filter which is intended to trap bacteria and eliminate same. The inventive fabric is manufactured from a fabric comprising non woven type fabrics and / or injected filtering structures or sheets, i.e. which have been obtained by manipulating synthetic artificial fibres using processes that lead to the formation of a lap which, following other industrial operations that are described later, is converted into the non woven fabric or, alternatively, using injection processes into the injected structures or sheets.
The present invention provides an indication to the user of a voice communicationsystem that an echo at the user's location has been detected by the system. In response to receiving this indication of echo, users may take any of several actions to reduce the echo, such as changing the position of the microphone or changing their own position with respect to the microphone. The need for potentially expensive echo-canceling hardware and software is reduced because the actions to eliminate the echo are performed by the user. The echo detector in the present invention may be implemented as part of a voice terminal, or as part of a communication switch or server that is used in conjunction with a voice terminal.
An apparatus and a method for producing a multi-pulse sequence for irradiating a substance provided with quadrupole nuclei with either integer or half-integer spins to detect an NQR signal emitted therefrom. The apparatus has pulse sequence generating means adapted to produce a combination of two or more pulse sequences, arranged so that a definite regularity of the phase alteration of pulses in each of the pulse sequences occurs that is equivalent to a shift of spectral components of the pulse sequences in relation to each other. Furthermore, in at least one of the pulse sequences, there are not less than two phases alternating. A preparatory pulse may be included in one of the pulse sequences to reduce the effect of temperature, increase the intensity of the NQR signal and simultaneously eliminate intensity anomalies. Alternatively, the combination of pulse sequences may be different from a combination of PAPS and NPAPS, and none of the pulse sequences contain a preparatory pulse.
A communication system is disclosed in which a base station communicates with machine-type-communication (MTC) devices by dividing the base station's cell bandwidth into (non-overlapping) narrowbands. The base station identifies, based on a communication received from a communication device, a capability of that communication device to retune between narrowbands, and provides, to that communication device, control information for controlling how that communication device retunes between different narrowbands, wherein the control information is based on the identified capability of that communication device to retune between narrowbands.
