A bond pad film, on which is provided multiple, interior flip-chip bond pads and exterior BGA (ball grid array) bond pads, is provided on the glass substrate. An inverted image sensor chip is bonded to the flip-chip bond pads on the glass substrate. The light-receiving face of the chip faces the glass substrate typically through a window provided in the bond pad film. Solder bumps are provided on the BGA bond pads on the bond pad film, and bond pads on a PCB (printed circuit board) are bonded to the respective solder bumps.

The crew rest compartments are further elevated above a main floor of the cabin of a mobile platform to provide a degree of storage space underneath the crew rest compartments. Another embodiment provides a crew rest module having upper and lower crew rest compartments, with each compartment including a berth and a seat disposed laterally adjacent its associated berth. A stairway allows access to the upper crew rest compartment. Each of the modules provide a highly space efficient area that can accommodate a pair of crew members simultaneously and provide a degree of privacy for each crew member for rest and relaxation. The module further makes efficient use of the crown area of a commercial aircraft.

An implantable medication delivery device that is highly space efficient and can reliably and safely deliver controlled medication doses to a target site. The system includes a variable volume medication reservoir that is exposed to an ambient pressure equal to the ambient pressure at a system outlet port. A pump / valve subassembly is provided to draw medication from the reservoir and force a medication dose along a fluid transfer passageway to the outlet port. The pump / valve subassembly incorporates a safety mechanism, e.g., a balanced valve, which normally blocks medication flow to the outlet port and opens only in response to a pump induced unbalancing force. A protective shell is also disclosed for protecting the ambient reservoir.
