Goggles with interchangeable lens

The goggles of the invention utilize a substantially rigid frame with separate top and bottom individually rotatable elements, namely an upper browbar and a lower nosepiece, that firmly capture the lens from above and below. The lens is further secured to the frame by projections on each of the browbar and nosepiece which fit through apertures in the lens. At the top, a post which projects forwardly from the frame is received in the well of the browbar by snap-fit engagement. At the bottom, a prong on the rotatable nosepiece passes through a bottom aperture of the lens and is received in a recess of a bottom portion of the frame by snap-fit engagement. The apertures and cooperating projections are preferably located along the center of a one-piece lens. Thus, the rotatable browbar and nosepiece capture the lens top and bottom by edgewise compression and hold the lens front-to-back.

Battery Management System

A battery management system for monitoring a plurality of interconnected batteries comprises a plurality of interconnected modules arranged for connection to respective ones of the batteries. Each module comprises a negative terminal connector, a positive terminal connector, a voltage sensor for measuring voltage between the terminals, a communication port arranged to communicate the sensed voltage to other modules, and a controller arranged to selectively connect a resistive element between the negative terminal connector and the positive terminal connector of the respective battery responsive to the sensed voltage being greater than sensed voltages of other modules. A temperature sensor on each module measures a temperature through the terminal of the battery for communication to the system. A printed circuit board, arranged to be supported directly on one of the battery terminals, commonly supports the voltage sensor, the temperature sensor and the communication port thereon.

Bike carrier

A bike carrier which includes a U-shaped frame structure having an intermediate section and first and second leg sections. A first rail is supported by the frame structure and laterally spans between said first and second legs and extends out past at least one of said legs and preferably both in cantilever fashion. A carrier mount having a frame attachment device and a vehicle attachment device is provided for securing the U-shaped frame to a vehicle. Additionally preferably provided is a securement device supported by the U-shaped frame and extending upwardly from that frame. The securement device includes a lock receptor at an upper end for enabling locking of a bike to the carrier and provides an additional strap down location. Preferably a pair of bike support rails are spaced apart along the legs and each extend laterally out away from opposite outer sides of said legs to provide cantilever extensions to each side of the U-shaped frame structure. In addition one and preferably two adjustable cradle wheel mounts are provided on each rail, with at least some of the wheel mounts being slideably received by a respective one of the cantilever extensions provided by the rails.

Torch with rotational start

A plasma arc torch has a threadless electrode-cathode locking assembly, a one-piece tip assembly, and a rotational contact starting mechanism. The cathode and electrode of the locking assembly are configured such that relative rotation of the electrode with respect to the cathode causes the electrode to move in an axial direction relative to the cathode for locking the electrode in fixed axial and rotational position with respect to the cathode. The inner wall of the one-piece tip assembly is configured to receive the forward end of the electrode in a non-contact position. Rotation of the electrode with respect to the tip causes an arcing formation on the electrode to contact an arcing chamber within the cavity. Rotation of the electrode away from the tip generatesa pilot arc in the arcing chamber.

Collapsible ISO container-type modular shelter

The apparatus and method is disclosed and seek to claim exclusivity of conception of a versatile structure that follows the maritime container ISO dimensions and that is collapsible to be stored in scanty places and / or hauled together with other collapsed units, saving transportation costs. Larger surfaces may be created by simply juxtaposing one modular unit to others, side-by-side, front-to-back or stacked. In order to allow these modules to dismount in a practical manner, the inventor conceived a “Collapsibility Mechanism”, requiring minimum labor and equipment, which is based on the two frontal frames natural swing produced from hanging them by each of the two pairs of the eccentrically oblong supports. The COLLAPSIBLE ISO CONTAINER-TYPE MODULAR SHELTER also comprises original design of profiles used in the top chassis perimeter that constitute that chassis' main structural elements, as well as prevent rain-water to flow through the unit lateral and frontal sides, as gutters do. This “Structural-Gutter” concept may fit numerous other applications in the construction industry. Governments can benefit from this invention to alleviate urgent needs to shelter people domestically and abroad. Private businesses would also find it a practical and affordable solution for many of their requests of temporary housing or mobile shelters.

Releasable and interchangeable connections for golf club heads and shafts

Assemblies for releasably connecting a golf club head and shaft may include: (a) a shaft engaging member including a rotation-inhibiting structure having a circular cross-section and a first set of circumferentially spaced teeth; (b) a club head engaging member including a retaining structure for engaging the rotation-inhibiting structure, the retaining structure having a circular opening with a second set of circumferentially spaced teeth to engage the first set of teeth on the rotation-inhibiting structure; and (c) a securing system for releasably securing the shaft engaging member with respect to the club head engaging member. The first set of teeth may have a different number of teeth than the second set of teeth. Golf club heads are releasably engaged with shafts so that the shafts can be readily interchanged and / or so that the shaft position with respect to the club head can be readily changed.
