Telescopically adjustable battery holddown

A telescopically adjustable holddown (10) is disclosed including first and second brackets (16,18) and drawing elements (12) adapted to extend between a battery tray (14) and the brackets for drawing the brackets toward the battery tray to hold a battery (2). The brackets each include a generally L-shaped clamp (20) having top (22) and side members (24) for abutting the top (3) and sides (4) of the battery. An ear (26) extends from each side member and includes an aperture (36) for receiving a bolt (12) extending from the battery tray. Each bracket includes a cross rod (17,19) with second cross rod (19) having a cavity (46) for slidably receiving the first cross rod (17). The cavity requires that relative movement of the first and second brackets be substantially along the cavity axis (50) to allow telescopic assembly of the first and second brackets. The brackets are drawn toward the battery tray by tightening nuts (13) on the bolts to prevent relative movement of the brackets.

An optical module includes a point light source device and an optical lens. The point light source device generates light. The optical lens includes an inner curved surface and an outer curved surface. The inner curved surface has a first roughly ellipsoidal shape having a first major axis and a first minor axis that is substantially perpendicular to the first major axis. The outer curved surface has a second roughly ellipsoidal shape having a second major axis that is substantially perpendicular to the first axis and the second minor axis that is substantially perpendicular to the second major axis. The light generated by the point light source device enters the optical lens through the inner curved surface and exits from the optical lens through the outer curved surface. Therefore, the number of optical modules used in a display device may be reduced to lower manufacturing cost thereof.

Sheet discreetly adapted for temporary but secure anchoring to ground

Any commonly used sheet of any shape or size, e.g., a flat bed-sheet, blanket, tablecloth, bath-sheet, spare or selected fabric piece, or the like can be easily adapted per this invention to become very conveniently, securely, and safely anchored on a beach or lawn by simple, inexpensive anchors. During their intended use, and also when the sheet is being put to alternative use, the adaptation elements provided on the sheet are unobtrusive and mostly remain discreetly out of sight. Likewise, when the sheet is anchored to ground for use even under windy conditions it is only the top surface of the sheet that is primarily visible, and no parts of any of the anchors project above the sheet where they might pose a danger of tripping up unwary users, especially small children. The top surface of the sheet may be provided visually memorable colors, patterns, logos and messages, making the sheet easily recognizable and also suitable as a promotional item for an enterprise such as a business or an event such as a concert or a political or religious rally.

Table cover

A fabric table cover assembly including a table cover body having a top portion configured for covering a top of a table and a bottom portion configured to at least partially cover a support portion of the table. The bottom portion of the table cover body is dark colored for forming an opaque skin about the support portion of the table. The top portion and the bottom portion of the table cover body are separate fabric pieces joined together at a seam to form the table cover body. The seam is arranged to be located immediately below a top of the table when installed thereupon and therefore substantially concealed from sight. An overlay table top cover is configured to cover the top portion of the table cover body for presenting a contrasting appearance to the bottom portion of the cover body. The overlay table top cover is adapted to stretch tautly over the top portion of the table cover body for uniform surface-to-surface engagement between the overlay table top cover and the top portion of the table cover body. The bottom portion of the table cover body is constructed from stretch fabric and is configured to fit tautly about the support portion of the table thereby presenting a curvaceous appearance about the support portion of the table when installed thereupon.
