System and method for a page rendering framework

Efficient development of conventional web applications suggests extensive and thorough knowledge of web page delivery technologies such as HTML, Java, and JSPs. A rendering framework to define the static, cosmetic, ā€œwindow dressingā€ type of content, replicated across multiple pages, in a single JSP template file which can then incorporate or include the dynamic, active content from other files, mitigates development inefficiencies. Such a rendering framework represents each screen output page by a file including the active content, while avoiding replication of the static content. Such inclusions may be nested in a hierarchical manner to enumerate the static content in one file and allow a web application to include active content according to a hierarchical inheritance. Metadata components, such as XML files, include the active content according to a predetermined declarative syntax, thereby facilitating implementation, which the framework then interprets into a resulting output page such as a JSP page.

Custom mount for window dressing

A device for mounting a wide variety of different window dressings is described. The device is intended to use conventional mounting brackets to mount the window dressing without the necessity of providing holes to mount the same in the face of the window molding or frame. The device includes either a corner or linear mounting plate which, respectively, may be used either on the right hand or left hand corner, or horizontally or vertically on the frame. Each plate is U-shaped in cross-section and intended to cover the sides and front of the window frame or molding or L-shaped to cover a portion. In one embodiment the portion covering the face can be laterally adjustable. Another embodiment provides flanges for mounting directly on the wall surrounding the window when no molding is present. The front face of the plate may be provided with a plurality of mutually spaced dimensioned cut-outs. A universal clip which is a channel shaped member having integral projections extending from the back surface thereof may also provided. The projections are also mutually spaced and dimensioned to register on the cut-outs in the mounting plate and to be received therein to secure the clip to the mounting plate. The clip in turn receives a conventional bracket or an interface plate which is a track like member attached to either a shutter, or a conventional type bracket wherein the interface plate itself is slidably received in the clip. An alternate embodiment shows a projection extending outwardly from a mounting bracket on the molding to receive the foot of a tension rod. The bracket can cover an inside or outside portion of the molding and be mounted on the molding by one or more tacks. Another embodiment mounts a box for the ends of a mini-blind and slots or holes can be provided for axial pins of rollers for shades.

Multi-section window dressing with coupling clutch

The present application pertains to a system for adjusting the height of a covering, such as window or a wall covering formed of two or more covering segments that are axially aligned. The system includes a link that selectively transmits rotation between two adjacent coverage thereby allowing the two coverings to be controlled, e.g., raised or lowered, simultaneously. The link includes a clutch that allows one of the segments to be rotated with respect to the other so that the bottom end of one of the coverings can be adjusted and aligned horizontally independently of the other. Optionally, the clutch includes an internal member that provides a mechanical advantage while the one covering is adjusted.

Window rain guard & wind deflector

A rain guard and wind deflector device employs a flat panel of transparent plastic material installed by its mounting edge and adjoining opposing linear sides to corresponding linear sides of a window frame or window trim. The flat panel has a width to its free end extending over a substantial portion of the width of a window pane slidable on an inner track for opening the window. The flat panel leaves a small gap distance from the typical window screen in an outer track space of the window frame to allow air ventilation under rainy or windy conditions, while deterring dampness or dust passing into the interior of the house. A preferred plastic material is polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). The flat panel can be preformed in standard sizes or cut to size and installed directly on the window frame or window trim without special tools and using common types of fasteners.

Installation kit for irregularly shaped window

A stud-support frame for quick and easy installation of a window, particularly of a non-rectangular window, such as an oval, octagonal, or circular window. The stud-support frame has a shape and size that corresponds to that of the window. The frame is typically used together with a template that serves as a guide for cutting a window opening of a specific shape and size in a studded wall construction for receiving the stud-support frame and the window casing of the window. After the window opening is cut, the stud-support frame is inserted into the opening, fastened to the wall studs, and the window casing inserted into the frame. A finishing window trim is assembled around the window casing and covers the face of the stud-support frame that is on the face of the wall, thereby eliminating finish work on the wall around the window.
