48 results about "Triage Code" patented technology

Triage (/ˈtriːɑːʒ/ or //triːˈɑːʒ//) is the process of determining the priority of patients' treatments based on the severity of their condition. This rations patient treatment efficiently when resources are insufficient for all to be treated immediately.

Diagnostic assay

The present invention relates generally to a diagnostic device including a prognostic assay for parameters which are indicative of a condition or event associated with the systemic vasculature. More particularly, the present invention provides an assay to detect parameters associated with a vascular disease including cardiovascular, stroke, pulmonary, renovascular, cerebrovascular, thrombotic or generalized arterial or venous condition or event including acute coronary syndrome such as but not limited to acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, atheromoma or a thrombotic condition. The identification of these parameters or more particularly a pattern of parameters enables the diagnosis of a condition or event or the determination of the risk of development of a condition or event associated to the systemic vasculature. Still more particularly, the present invention is directed to a diagnostic device comprising a set of members wherein one or more of said members has or have specific or generic binding partners in a biological sample from an animal including human subject wherein the pattern of binding of the members to the binding partners is indicative, predictive or otherwise associated with a likelihood of a condition or event within the systemic vasculature. The absence of detection of specific or generic binding partners is also of indicative or predictive value. This is particularly important in cases where patients are unable to communicate advice to a physician on their own condition, such as during surgery or for patients in a coma. It is also useful in determining the risk of a vascular disease including cardiovascular, stroke, pulmonary, renovascular, cerebrovascular, thrombotic or generalized arterial or venous conditions or events in a healthy subject or a subject entering into an exposure to risk such as surgery or chemotherapy. The present invention is useful inter alia for the identification and/or quantitation of biochemical markers of conditions or events in the systemic vasculature such as heart disease, heart disorders, infections of the heart, stroke and thrombosis as well as the determination of a risk of development of these conditions including the absence of disorders or absence of risk of the development of a disorder. The assessment of such conditions may be made in a clinical setting, as part of triage, as part of a routine testing protocol and/or as a laboratory procedure.

Computerized risk management module for medical diagnosis

Apparatus is provided including an input device, a medical risk database, a data processor, and a communication device. Data entered in the input device, usually by a health care professional, defines a patient data record. The medical risk database associates certain patient data entered into the data record, which increases the risk of a missed medical care opportunity, with additional medical care to address the risk. The communication device responds to the identification of patient data presenting a medical risk by communicating to a health care professional additional medical care selected to identify and take advantage of a medical care opportunity. Templates are also disclosed having “red light green light” indicators that indicate red to prompt consideration of a system and green to indicate it has been considered. A triage template and key information to provide additional information to the diagnosing or treating professional are also provided.

The invention is directed to a mobile medical facility capable of treating, diagnosing and performing minor surgery on multiple patients at one time. In general, the facility includes a health care area which is interchangeable between a first transportable configuration and a second, operational configuration. In the operational configuration, the health care area is expanded and capable of providing general care or diagnostic facilities to multiple patients as well as registration, counseling and triage to at least one patient. Preferable a row of patient treatment bays are provided with intake, counseling and triage cubicles and storage areas.

Separated wristband label assembly

A business form particularly adapted for use during medical emergencies includes in a first embodiment a wristband / label assembly that is readily separable from a carrier, with the wristband including a single end for looping around a victim's appendage through a cinch and a tab carrying a plurality of labels with the wristband and each label having an identifying indicia such as a bar code printed thereon. The wristband bar code thus becomes associated with the victim and the labels are used to identify items associated with the patient such as his possessions, medical charts, medicines, etc. The wristband may be color coded so that as the medical personnel triage victims they are categorized by color as to their need for medical care, with the color coding thus being readily ascertainable by others as multiple victims are processed. A second embodiment includes a pre-printed form having a tab portion with the bar code labels as in the first embodiment and also a series of tear off tabs for indicating the medical condition of the patient. Additionally, the medical condition tabs may also be bar coded so that the patient's ID and medical condition may both be “swiped” into a data base using bar code information. Once the data is collected, it is conveniently input into a computer with the computer then transmitting the information to a server for display at a web site. The server and related software is fully capable of handling input from multiple computers in real time so that victim information is made available over the internet almost immediately as the victims are processed.

Disaster relief triage processing device and method for data collecting and triage processing

The invention relates to a disaster relief triage processing device which is composed of an input device, a display device, an alarm device, a signal colleting device, a communication port and a signal processing device. The signal processing device comprises a storage device, a data collecting device, a first data processing device and a data forwarding device, wherein the data collecting device is used for converting wounded injury data collected by the signal colleting device and various instruments in a disaster relief site to be in a standard data format and transmitting the wounded injury data to the storage device for storing and is also used for receiving setting data; the data colleting device comprises an objective data colleting device and a basic data colleting device; the first data processing device is used for processing associated data collected in the disaster site to form suggestion data; the first data processing device comprises a first data type identifying device, a first data weighting device and a first data synthesizing device; and the data forwarding device is used for responding data requests in the outside of the disaster relief triage processing device and sending signals to the display device and the alarm device. The invention also provides a method for carrying out data processing by utilizing the disaster relief triage processing device.
