Dynamic Projector Refresh Rate Adjustment Via PWM Control

An apparatus and method for stereoscopic 3D image projection and viewing using a single projection source, alternating polarization, and passive eyewear. This approach is applicable to frame sequential video created using existing 3D graphics APIs, as well as other video signal formats, and is compatible with existing digital light processor (DLP) technology for both front and rear projection systems. A alternating polarizer filter actuator in the form of a closed feedback loop with pulse width modulated control is used to modulate the projected image. A preferred embodiment enables an existing DLP projection system to be enhanced with 3D capability.

Method and apparatus for optical transmission

Methods and apparatus are provided for transmitting alternate-polarization phase-shift-keyed data. The output of a laser is modulated to optically encode electronic data using phase shift keying (PSK) to generate an optical signal. An alternate polarization PSK (APol-PSK) signal is generated by alternating the polarization of the optical signal using a modulator such that successive optical bits have substantially orthogonal polarizations.

Split Screen Discrete Viewing Apparatus and Method

The invention is an apparatus and method for allowing multiple individuals to view discrete images while remaining in close proximity to each other. It encompasses a split screen polarized lens, with alternate polarization portions, fitting over a viewing monitor and pairs of corresponding polarized glasses. Each pair of polarized glasses matches a portion of the screen lens with the same polarization so that the human viewer wearing vertically polarized glasses may only view the vertically polarized portion of the screen and the human viewer wearing horizontally polarized glasses may only view the horizontally polarized portion of the screen.

Passive dynamically stabilizing magnetic bearing and drive unit

The passive axial magnet bearing comprises permanent magnets (1, 2) arranged with alternating polarization on a rotor (1, 2, 8). These cause an oscillating flow through the coils (L) on both sides of the rotor (1, 2, 8). All coils (L) are series connected in an electric circuit (3). As long as the rotor (1, 2, 8) rotates in the middle position, no current flows in the electric circuit (3), since the voltages across the coils (L) cancel each other due to the symmetry. However, when the rotor (1, 2, 8) deviates from the center position, a current flows and the coils (L) exert electromagnetically a restoring force on the permanent magnets (1, 2). The bearing can also be equipped with an integrated drive. For this purpose, it is extended by drive coils. The production of the bearing is simple and inexpensive.

Output stage and related logic control method applied to source driver/chip

Output stage and related method applied to source driver / chip of LCD panel. While performing dot polarization inversion for even / odd channels of LCD panel, n-channel and p-channel MOS transistors of symmetric layout are respectively adopted for alternately transmitting a positive polarization signal of higher swing range and a negative polarization signal of lower swing range from corresponding drivers of asymmetric layout to the even / odd channels, such that a layout area for alternating polarizations can be reduced. Also, the invention directly ties inputs of the output drivers to VDD or VSS so as to turn off the drivers for providing high impedance at the even / odd channels when necessary.

Air-cooled heat exchanger and thermal arrangement for stacked electronics

A stacked electronic arrangement provides independent upgradability of active component boards and radiator boards, enabling quick changes in chip set and alternate polarizations, and includes: an active tile circuit card assembly (CCA); a passive radiator CCA; a tile frame; and a heat exchanger. The active tile CCA includes transmit / receive modules that accept, amply and transmit radar signals. The passive radiator CCA includes patch radiator plugins that receive and then radiate the amplified signal from the modules. The tile frame separates the active tile and the passive radiator CCAs. An elongated casing of the heat exchanger creates an accommodating space for air flow, and forms a first inlet, a second inlet, and a central exhaust plenum between the first and second inlets. High density tins are positioned within the accommodating space between the first and second inlets, and which have openings to the exhaust outlet.

Space-time polarization anti-interference method based on alternate polarization sensitive array

The invention provides a space-time polarization anti-interference method based on an alternate polarization sensitive array, and the method employs the alternate polarization sensitive array as a receiving model, and the array reduces the calculation burden and mutual coupling effect of the method. On the basis of a multilinear constraint criterion and space-time adaptive processing, polarizationinformation of signals is added according to polarization characteristics of satellite signals and interference signals. Compared with the traditional method, the method has the advantages that the influence of the cross-coupling effect of the polarization sensitive array with the orthogonal double dipoles is effectively reduced, and the anti-interference performance is not influenced; the problem that satellite communication and positioning are affected due to the fact that satellite signals are attenuated when expected satellite signals and interference signals are close in incoming wave direction or small in interval is effectively solved. The problem that the anti-interference capability fails when the two-dimensional domain information is similar is effectively solved; two-dimensional domain information is expanded to three-dimensional domain information, joint anti-interference of a space-time polarization three-dimensional domain is achieved, and a theoretical basis is providedfor anti-interference of a satellite receiver.
