Operator cab for heavy equipment

An operator cab for heavy equipment is disclosed to prevent a sliding door mounted on the cab from rocking or rattling in X, Y, and Z-axis directions due to a shock or vibration applied to the cab in a state that the sliding door is fully opened or closed. The operator cab includes an outer sidewall having a doorway formed thereon; upper and lower rails provided on upper and lower portions of the outer sidewall; a sliding door being slid by upper and lower rollers engaged with the upper and lower rails; an upper stopper of an opened position, installed in the opened position of the outer sidewall, for being in contact with the upper roller when the sliding door is fully opened, to prevent the sliding door from rocking when the upper stopper becomes in contact with the upper roller; and a lower stopper of an opened position, installed in the opened position of the outer sidewall, for being in contact with the lower roller when the sliding door is fully opened, to prevent the sliding door from rocking when the lower stopper becomes in contact with the lower roller.

Four-cycle overhead valve engine

To provide a four-cycle overhead valve engine wherein the breather passage is defined to avoid an undesirable increase in size of the engine as a whole and also to avoid increase in length of the breather passage, a four-cycle overhead valve engine is provided which includes a cylinder block (6), and push rods (16 and 17) for driving intake and exhaust valves (14 and 15), respectively, that are mounted above the cylinder block (6). A breather passage (28) connecting a crank chamber (27) and a rocker arm chamber (31) with each other is made up of a first passage portion (28A) defined in the wall of the cylinder block (6) at a location adjacent a flywheel (9) and the push rods (16 and 17), and a second passage portion (28B) extending from one side adjacent the push rods (16 and 17) in a direction away from the push rods (16 and 17). A check valve (34) for the breather passage (28) is disposed at a junction between the first and second passage portions (28A and 28B).

Railroad coupler mount

An improved railroad coupler mount for attaching equipment, such as an end-of-train device (EOT), marker light, test gear, etc., to a railroad coupler. The mount is comprised of a pivoting lever with brace (a V- or U-shaped notch) that grips the rib between vertically spaced coupler coring holes and a lever tip that contacts the inner wall of the coupler top coring hole, a pad that bears against the exterior face of the coupler guard arm side and a mechanism that forcibly pivots the lever tip towards the pad on an axis roughly parallel to the coupler axis.
