The invention discloses a preparation method of litchi essence. The preparation method of the litchi essence comprises the following steps: 1) mixing litchi pulp and water to prepare litchi thick liquid, and filtering the litchi thick liquid under reduced pressure to obtain filtrate; 2) adding active dry
yeast in an amount which is 0.05 to 0.5 percent of the
mass of the filtrate into the filtrate, and cultivating at 30 to 45 DEG C for 1 to 5 hours to obtain culture liquid; 3) evaporating the culture liquid to
dryness at 60 to 80 DEG C, and baking at high temperature of 100 to 160 DEG C for 2 to 4 hours to obtain a baked litchi
flavor substance; 4) adding 80 to 90 percent by volume of
ethanol solution into the baked litchi
flavor substance, and refluxing at 70 to 90 DEG C for 2 to 4 hours to obtain extracting liquid; and 5) concentrating the extracting liquid under reduced pressure to obtain the litchi essence, wherein the dry
substance content of the litchi substance is 10 to 20 percent by weight. The cost of the litchi essence is low, the process is simple, and the litchi essence is sprayed on
cut tobaccos uniformly by a cigarette perfuming procedure, so the baking
sweetness of the cigarette can be highlighted, and the smoking quality and the sensory comfort level are improved.
