Mig welding pliers

InactiveUS20100288085A1Faster and easy removalImproving welder productivityPliersWaxSpray nozzle
An improved MIG welding pliers is disclosed, which allows faster and easier removal of spatter form a MIG welding nozzle, thereby improving welder productivity. Embodiments of the present invention provide a rounded file on the outer surface of each of the pinchers of the pliers. In one embodiment, each pincher has a different file surface. The rounded file surface provides for improved spatter removal, and eliminates the need for waxes and spatter control products which degrade the contact tip and nozzle, hastening the need for their replacement. Therefore, embodiments of the present invention increase the efficiency of a MIG welding operation, as less time is spent removing spatter from nozzles, and thus, more time is available for welding. Furthermore, by avoiding the use of waxes, costs are reduced since nozzles and contact tips do not need to be replaced as frequently.

Sample mounting press

A hydraulic sample mounting press utilizes a face seal against the top face of a molding cylinder. The face seal employs a hydraulic cylinder to press a disk-shaped surface of a cap piece against the top annular face of the mold cylinder for a metallographic mounting press. The face seal cylinder is mounted to a hydraulic fluid column that allows the face seal to rotate away from the mold cylinder for access to the molding cylinder and to rotate into place when a metallographic mount is to be molded.

Self-watering planter assembly

InactiveUS9392756B1Longer self-watering time periodEliminates daily laborSelf-acting watering devicesSeederEngineering
A self-contained, low-maintenance planter assembly used indoors or outdoors to provide prolonged self-watering of plants in a tray preferably supported by an easily height-adjustable frame insert positioned within the lower reservoir portion of a fluid-containing planter housing. Interior tray-lifting members are located adjacent to the tray's top edge, and the tray's bottom surface has perforations. Plant roots may be in growth / support medium distributed directly into the tray, or in drainable pots. Fluid-permeable material under the growth / support medium allows surplus rainwater to refill the planter housing via the tray's perforations in outdoor applications, while an overfill prevention hole in the planter housing prevents nutrient / liquid therein from entering the tray, with wicking member or members instead distributing nutrient / liquid upwardly to tray-supported plant roots. No tools or power / water connections are needed for assembly function. Applications include, but are not limited to, residential and commercial use, including hotels, convention centers, malls, and schools.

An upper denture release apparatus and method of use. A denture puller has a chin rest, arm attached to the chin rest, and a hook attached to an end of the arm opposite the chin rest. An upper denture has a notch sized and located to admit the hook when a wearer's chin rests on the chin rest. The method includes the steps of resting a wearer's chin on the chin rest, inserting the hook into the upper denture notch, and opening the wearer's mouth, thus pulling the upper denture off the wearer's upper gum. Arm length adjustment is shown, whereby the denture puller may be adjusted to fit differently-sized upper denture wearers. Preferred hook declination, hook toe, arm and notch floor angles are disclosed.

Removable cartridge cleaner

A removable cartridge cleaner assembly is provided that has an insertion device for ease in installing an elongate cartridge assembly carrying belt cleaner assemblies onto an elongate support extending across a conveyor belt in an operative position thereon. In one form, an elongate lever handle pivotally connected to the elongate cartridge assembly can be used to generate a leveraged insertion force, preferably by an operator that does not need to reach into the operating envelope of the conveyor system, e.g, beyond tensioning mechanisms or under the belt. The handle and the cartridge assembly can have an over center locking mechanism therebetween for providing the operator tactile feedback as to when pivoting of the lever handle has caused the cartridge assembly to be shifted to its operative position on the support.
