102 results about "Metronome" patented technology

A metronome, from ancient Greek μέτρον (métron, "measure") and νέμω (némo, "I manage", "I lead"), is a device that produces an audible click or other sound at a regular interval that can be set by the user, typically in beats per minute (BPM). Musicians use the device to practice playing to a regular pulse. Metronomes typically include synchronized visual motion (e.g., swinging pendulum or blinking lights).

Method and system for music instruction files

A graphical view of a file component associated with an audio that is displayed in a graphical user interface (GUI) is automatically switched during playback of the audio. The switching is based on a Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) view-switching track associated with a project file for the audio. In various embodiments, a musical instrument displayed in the GUI is automatically switched during playback of the audio based on a MIDI instrument-switching track associated with the same project file. Additionally, a metronome beat associated with the audio is automatically switched between on and off during playback of the audio based at least in part on a MIDI metronome-switching track associated with the song audio.

Tactile metronome

A tactile metronome for use by a musician generally includes a signal generator for producing an electrical signal according to a desired timing scheme and a tactile transducer in electrical communication with the signal generator. The tactile transducer, which may take the form of a piezoelectric device, a buzzer, electrodes or any substantial equivalent, is adapted to impart a tactile sensation to the musician in response to the generated electrical signal. A strap, which may be formed from an elastic material or a soft cloth material with hook and loop fasteners, is provided to secure the tactile transducer in place on the musician's body.

Automatic positioning of music notation

A system that allows the repositioning (scrolling) of the displayed portion of a music notation computer file in rasterized format, according to an internal or external time code / metronome, to constantly display the currently active part of the music notation file. By use of a corresponding data file describing the relative position of each music stave and form defining musical markings such as repeats or codas, a software application based on this invention can shift the displayed part of the entire music file to match the current played portion of the music notation file.

High-accuracy detection method for tone color of musical instrument

The invention discloses a high-accuracy detection method for the tone color of a musical instrument. The method mainly comprises the following steps of: performing operation on a standard tone signal produced by the musical instrument according to time-domain characteristics of an audio signal to obtain a relationship between standard tone frequency in spectral characteristics and the composition of each harmonic tone component and the intensity of each harmonic tone by using a signal operation control unit, comparing the time-domain characteristics and the spectral characteristics of the musical instrument to be detected and a standard musical instrument to obtain a tone color detection result of the musical instrument, and transmitting the result to a result display unit. A user can find a corresponding improvement method by regulating or optimizing the performance of the detected musical instrument according to the detection result, and the method can be used for conveniently and quickly identifying the tone color of the musical instrument. A power supply, an audio signal input unit, a signal acquisition unit, a data storage unit, the signal operation control unit and the result display unit are involved. The method for detecting the color tone of the musical instrument is high in measurement accuracy, convenient to use, intuitive, accurate and reliable, and can be used for tone setters, tuners, metronomes and the like of various musical instruments.

Beat prompting method and device

The invention discloses a beat prompting method and a beat prompting device, which are applied to electronic equipment having a vibration module. The beat prompting method comprises the steps of: acquiring a preset beat prompting parameter in response to a metronome turn-on operation; and controlling the vibration module to vibrate according to the beat prompting parameter. According to the beat prompting method and the beat prompting device, the effect that a user can receive prompting information of the metronome when the sound of a music instrument played by the user is loud or the surrounding noise is loud can be realized, thereby reducing the occurrence of performance errors because the user cannot acquire the prompting information of the metronome precisely, and enhancing the user experience.
