An conditioning system is shown for a helmet having an impact resistant body with an exterior, an interior which defines a head receiving cavity, a front region and having a back region which is located adjacent a lower edge of the helmet body. A first opening is provided in the helmet body located at the back region of the helmet body adjacent a lower edge thereof which acts as an air intake opening. A blower fan communicates with the air intake passage for drawing air into the intake passage and forcing the air from the back region of the helmet in the direction of the front region thereof. A thermoelectric cooling element is located in the helmet interior in communication with the intake passage downstream of the blower fan. The thermoelectric cooling element has a cold side and a hot side. A DC power source is provided for powering the thermoelectric cooling element. An external heat sink is located on the helmet exterior and is connected to the hot side of the thermoelectric cooling element by means of a second opening in the helmet body. Air passing over the thermoelectric cooling element is cooled and air conditions the head receiving region of the helmet.

A restraint system is disclosed which limits the range of motion of a driver's helmet, and consequently the flexure of an individual's neck. In particular, the proposed system is laterally symmetric and comprises an arrangement of straps including a first strap extending from the “chin” of the helmet downwardly over the shoulder to an attachment point near the shoulder blade. A second strap extend form the occipital region forward over the shoulder and is attached on the chest. A separate strap also extends from the chin to the mid-point of the second strap. In addition, a harness is disclosed comprising a strap which encircles the check and straps which encircle the thighs, and use of a VELCRO fastener to anchor the restraint system to the harness.

The invention discloses a safety helmet wearing detection and tracking method based on improved YOLOv3, and relates to the technical field of image recognition. The method comprises the following steps: (1) preparing data and making a training set; (2) constructing an improved YOLOv3-MobileNetV2 target detection model; (3) performing video stream real-time recognition through the safety helmet wearing detection model; (4) predicting the position of the prediction frame of the next frame by using the state of the detection frame of the current frame without the safety helmet, matching the intersection ratio of the detection frame and the prediction frame to realize the association of the front frame and the rear frame, and finally tracking and counting the constructors without the safety helmet; and (5) taking the central point of the detection frame without wearing the safety helmet as a target tracking track point, and completing the drawing of the tracking track. According to the invention, safety helmet wearing detection and tracking counting of people who do not wear safety helmets are realized, and the detection speed and accuracy of an original YOLOv3 target detection model are greatly improved.
