Chuck and lock system with extendable brace for preventing falling of flatbed truck loads

A chuck and lock system prevents the load on a flatbed truck from shifting at the destination during offloading. The system includes one or more extendable brace units or vertical stakes and a movable chuck and lock, which operates as a socket locking each extendable brace in place. The chuck and lock unit is attached to dunnage underneath the load. The units can be spaced on either side of the load where needed. The load is held on each side between the vertical braces adjacent to the load and which are adjusted for the height of the load. Straps are supported by the extendable braces and go over the load. At the destination, prior to unloading, all straps or lashings are removed or loosened. The vertical braces prevent the load from shifting sideways and causing an accident. The load is offloaded by a load lift.

Kayak transport dolly and storage rack

A removable rack for holding and / or transporting kayaks with a vehicle such as a pick up, trailer, utility vehicle or flat bed truck. The rack comprises a frame which holds at least one kayaks in a pickup at a selected height and leaving storage room under rack frame. The rack also can be disassembled into a relatively small bundle of parts for easy storage and transport. The rack provides a dolly or hand truck including a frame with wheels and a handle means to maintain the desired spacing between the support surface and the kayak supported by the elevated platform. The hand truck assembly are configured to be easily moved onto an elevated platform, for example, the bed of a truck or an elevated floor such as a raised patio or deck floor. The transport device facilitates transportation of the kayak to a body of water.

Conversion device to transform a flat bed into a truck bed and the method to use

This invention is a retractable cargo wall for flatbed trucks and trailers that lowers into an enclosure that may be rollup canister or tray. Once the cargo walls are lowered, the posts supporting the walls may collapse into the bed, thereby transforming a bed with cargo walls into a flatbed. It is also anticipate that a truck or trailer bed with posts can be transformed into a flatbed truck or trailer.

Cargo bed system

A vehicle cargo bed storage system for a flatbed truck that raises a second platform of the flatbed truck to provide storage space between the second platform and the original first platform of the flatbed truck is provided. A plurality of support braces are affixed to the first platform and the second platform is affixed to the support braces so as to be spaced apart from the first platform to define a volume. The plurality of support braces define a plurality of storage compartments within the volume that are accessible about a periphery of the first and second platforms. A plurality of lockable doors about the periphery of the first and second platforms restricts access to the storage compartments.

Alignment pulley

A deck mountable pulley designed to align automobiles with the rear of a flat bed truck, from any angle, up to ninety degrees from the longitude axis of the pulley. The present invention, working in concert with a winch and suitable length of cable, will allow for the operator of a flatbed wrecker to pull an automobile out of hard to reach places and align one end of the automobile with the back end of the flatbed truck. A pulley cable moves around a rotatable drum, affixed to the rear of the flat bed tow truck. The drum is mounted to a base plate having a center spindle. The spindle is set into a similar circumference sized receiving hole on the rear deck of the flat bed truck. A retaining pin is inserted crossways through the bottom portion of the spindle, which when correctly installed, is located directly underneath the bed of the wrecker, to provide stability for the pulley. Two L-shaped brackets, mounted on top of the base plate, rise vertically on opposing sides of the base plate and are outside the perimeter of the rotatable drum. The purpose of the L-shaped brackets, is to keep the cable in place, should the cable become slack, while the cable rotates around the drum.
