An archery arrow carries a light transmitting nock plus a light assembly, which comprises a light source positioned so that the light source is visible through the nock, a switch having normally open electrical contacts, and closable upon momentary contact with a magnetic field, and circuitry interconnecting a battery, the switch, and the light source for permitting illumination of the light source when the magnetic field is sensed. By this invention, the light assembly may be free of a housing and occupies a first bore of the nock and a second bore of the arrow shaft rearward end. A unique system for retaining a battery and protecting against high G force, plus a focused beam LED are other optional, advantageous features.

Archers flame illuminated arrow nock

An archery arrow including conventional components such as a tubular shaft, a pointed head attached to the forward end of the shaft, fletching on the rearward portion of the shaft and a nock at the rear end of the shaft. The arrow structure also includes an illuminated nock of the present invention and includes a battery / switch / collar / L.E.D-combined unit, which is held in place by a single anchor pin with the L.E.D. portion of the battery inside a conventional translucent or clear nock. The arrow shaft also uses a wooden dowel or other like material to create a backstop and cushion within the arrow shaft. This may also be permanently constructed as part of the arrow shaft during manufacturing. This helps disperse the load generated from the strings forward motion when released from the bow in a full drawn position between the end cap and the entire battery and switch assembly. Upon shooting the arrow from a longbow, compound, or crossbow, the switch contacts are forced into the “closed switch” position by the forward force generated along the axis of the arrow shaft. Therefore, energizing the L.E.D. light source to give off light through the translucent or clear nock. Once shot and activated it's a simple matter of removing the nock from the shaft pulling rearward on the battery while holding the nock in a stationary position to turn the LED off. With this configuration of components said lighted nock can be dislodged from the arrow shaft and still remain in the lighted position. This invention is also reusable by turning said nock off and reinserting the nock back into the arrow shaft and shooting again. I have also made and tested a working prototype.

A nock for promoting a natural spin on an arrow shaft prior to the nock separating from a bowstring includes a nock segment possessing a bowstring rest portion, and a base portion which is coupled to a retaining portion which is attached to the end of an arrow shaft. An engine and propeller propulsion system (1) adopts a haul-in-type, and an equipment cabin (2) is arranged at the front part of the fuselage(7). The solar unmanned aircraft improves the lift-drag ratio of the aerial vehicle, prolongs the operation time and effectively improves the horizontal and the vertical stabilities and maneuverability of the aircraft, thus relieving the problems of bad stability and bad maneuverability of the flying wing configuration.

The invention is a method and apparatus for correcting the natural nock travel of a compound bow. The bow has a cable guard rod attached to a riser supporting a cable slide at an angle to the nock travel path. The rod has a distal portion attached to the riser, a central portion angled upward relative to the distal portion, and, a proximal portion angled downward so as to form an exterior angle falling within the range of 25-40° between the proximal and distal portions of the cable guard rod. The bow has a cam mounted on an upper limb, a cam mounted on a lower limb, and two cables which are connected to the first cam, pass through the cable slide, and are connected to the second cam. There is also a bow string connected between the cams which can be drawn rearward then released to provide energy.

Weight-forward composite arrow shaft

An improved arrow shaft comprised of a core of substantially round, very lightweight, porous material, with the porous core having sections that have different diameters at various points along the length of the arrow shaft, with the lightweight core materials being overwrapped with different thickness' of reinforcing materials such that the resulting outside diameter of the finished arrow shaft has substantially parallel surfaces over the entire length of the shaft and the finished shaft has a substantially constant circumference and outside diameter along its entire length. The inventive composite arrow shaft incorporates different thickness' and weights of reinforcement materials, strategically placed along it's length, in a manner that results in providing, in an integral manner, proper front to back balance in the finished arrow, with the proper balance achieved by using the same weight point, point insert, nock, nock insert, and fletching materials, regardless of the length the shaft is cut off at. The preferred embodiment of the inventive arrow shaft includes end sections at each end that have greater thicknesses of reinforcement materials overlaying the core, than at other intermediate sections of the shaft, with the increased reinforcement materials at each end of the shaft serving to increase, in an integral manner, the strength of the shaft in these areas. The preferred embodiment of the inventive arrow shaft also includes at least one other section intermediate the end sections of the shaft that also has greater thicknesses of reinforcement materials along it's length than do some other sections of the shaft that are intermediate the additionally-reinforced end sections.

A bow sighting device according to the present invention includes a laser in electrical communication with a power source to actuate the laser to produce a laser beam. The bow sighting device includes an arrow shaft having forward and rear ends with the laser positioned in the arrow shaft such that the laser beam projects through the forward end. A focusing lens may be positioned at the forward end through which the laser beam passes. The sighting device may include a nock at the rear end and a pushrod configured such that the pushrod urges the power source into connection with the laser when the arrow shaft is placed in ready-to-fire configuration relative to the bow. The bow sighting device simplifies hunting with a compound bow or crossbow by providing a visual indication of exactly where the arrow shaft is aimed.

A collapsible slingshot bow for firing an arrow has a head comprising a first U-shaped member including a central post and a pair of arms extending laterally of, and from, the post, the arms terminating in free end portions that extend rearwardly of the post. A broadhead at the front of the arrow has an intake opening that permits the flow to enter a tubular shaft of the arrow, and a nock at the rear has a discharge opening that permits the air and blood to exit the shaft.
