Interface Assembly for Space Vehicles

Disclosed is a multipart valve assembly. The assembly can be used in selectively coupling two vehicles. The assembly includes inter-fitting male and female components and associated control valves. Coupling the male and female components establishes media (fluid or gas), communications, and electrical paths between space vehicles. This permits the passage of media from one vehicle to the other and likewise enables one vehicle to operate the control valve of the other vehicle.

Method for warming-up an LCD (liquid crystal display) system

A method for warming-up an LCD system which includes a pixel array having a plurality of pixel units. Each pixel unit includes a pixel electrode, and a TFT (thin film transistor) provide with a source and a gate such that a gate signal inputted into the gate can switch on and switch off the TFT so as to permit transfer of a data signal from the source to the pixel electrode. The method includes the steps: floating the source of the TFT; and applying the gate signal onto the gate which is coupled to the pixel electrode in such a manner that the pixel electrode possesses a voltage level which is substantially equal to that of the gate signal.

Perfluorocyclobutane based water vapor transfer membranes with side chain perfluorosulfonic acid moieties

A membrane humidifier assembly includes a first flow field plate adapted to facilitate flow of a first gas thereto and a second flow field plate adapted to facilitate flow of a second gas thereto. A polymeric membrane is disposed between the first and second flow fields and adapted to permit transfer of water from the first flow field plate to the second flow field plate. The polymeric membrane includes a polymer having perfluorocyclobutyl groups and a pendant side chain having a protogenic group.

Method and system to manage coronary artery disease care

A system and method updates the status of an individual care plan to be performed at different locations. Worksteps of the care plan may be performed at a number dispersed medical facilities and / or specialists. Data regarding a workstep may be locally entered at the facility that performs the workstep. A data base of the individual care plan may then be updated, and subsequently remotely accessed via a communications network by other medical facilities to view the current status of the care plan. For instance, before a current workstep is performed, medical personnel may view textual information detailing and images acquired during the performance of a previous workstep performed at a different facility. As a result, an effective and efficient means of transferring information regarding the patient and care plan among medical facilities is provided.
