Defined data patterns for object handling

A method of defining data patterns for object handling includes obtaining an image of an input data area, processing the image to obtain image data, and comparing the image data with a pattern, wherein the pattern identifies spatial information of corresponding pattern fields of the pattern. The method further includes determining a confidence level of the comparison of the image data according to a success in matching the image data with the pattern fields, comparing the confidence level with a confidence threshold associated with the pattern, and selecting the pattern. A pattern output associated with the selected pattern is identified, wherein the pattern output corresponds to a canonical return format, and the pattern output is applied to the image data.

Similarity detection for error reports

ActiveUS20110066908A1Reducing and eliminating duplicationAccurate degreeError preventionTransmission systemsFrame differenceError reporting
Techniques for determining similarity between error reports received by an error reporting service. An error report may be compared to other previously-received error reports to determine similarity and facilitate diagnosing and resolving an error that generated the error report. In some implementations, the similarity may be determined by comparing frames included in a callstack of an error report to frames included in callstacks in other error reports to determine an edit distance between the callstacks, which may be based on the number and type of frame differences between callstacks. Each type of change may be weighted differently when determining the edit distance. Additionally or alternatively, the comparison may be performed by comparing a type of error, process names, and / or exception codes for the errors contained in the error reports. The similarity may be expressed as a probability that two error reports were generated as a result of a same error.

Insole support system

A foot support insole having four different versions, each providing differing degrees of arch support for use in any shoe or boot. The insole is biomechanically shaped to support the medial arch, the lateral arch, the metatarsal arch, and the heel. In each of these versions, the principal variable is the extent of support for the medial arch. Low, medium, high, and extreme foot support versions are disclosed. The insole design effectively distributes the weight-generated forces provided by the user into a neutral plantigrade position. Supporting the neutral position for the foot obtains optimum balance and weight distribution by dispersing the forces applied by the foot over the greatest area possible within the shoe. The insole allows the three foot arches to work together and function as a structural support tripod, alternatively absorbing compressive forces and recoiling into a stable support state.

Sweat blocking and ventilating sweatband for headwear

InactiveUS20060277951A1Minimize headwear sweat-stainingImprove ventilationOrnamental textile articlesWarp knittingSkin contactEvaporation
A spacer-fabric sweatband, for, and incorporated into headwear which has an inner, skin-contact fabric layer, and an outer, headwear-facing fabric layer connected by a multiplicity of hydrophobic monofilament-pile spacing elements. The pile spacing elements function like thousands of miniature springs to maintain the fabric layers in uniform spaced parallel relation while creating substantial, pile-supported airspace between the fabric layers to facilitate the movement of ventilating airflow. The headwear-facing fabric layer is mesh-like for enhanced air circulation. The skin-contact layer is composed of solid skin-friendly fabric. The pile segments block sweat from migrating from the inner to the outer fabric layers by virtue of their hydrophobic composition. This sweat-blocking function minimizes the occurrence of sweat stains on the body of the headwear and concentrates sweat within the skin-contact fabric layer, from which it is subsequently subject to evaporation and concomitant cooling by air flowing through the pile-supported airspace.

Internal combustion engine control device and control method thereof

InactiveUS20110308506A1Improves output responsivenessAvoids power consumptionElectrical controlMachines/enginesExhaust gasAir–fuel ratio
An internal combustion engine control device and a control method therefore in which feedback control is performed such that a detected air-fuel ratio of exhaust gas detected on the basis of a critical electric current flowing in a solid electrolyte layer of an air-fuel ratio sensor when an air-fuel ratio detection voltage is applied between an exhaust-side electrode layer and an atmosphere-side electrode layer of the sensor matches a stoichiometric air-fuel ratio. When a parameter acquired as an imbalance determination parameter is larger than an imbalance determination threshold, an air-fuel ratio inter-cylinder imbalance state is determined to have occurred. The output responsiveness of the air-fuel ratio sensor when the air-fuel ratio changes from a lean to a rich (or changes in the opposite direction) is acquired, and when this output responsiveness is low, “a sensor responsiveness increasing voltage that is higher than the air-fuel ratio detection voltage” is applied between the exhaust-side electrode layer and the atmosphere-side electrode layer.
