A stable floating barge-platform for offshore operations and a method for assembling same. The barge-platform is assembled from a plurality of substantially identical, buoyant modules, all of which have substantially the same outer configuration. The buoyant modules are constructed onshore and transported to an offshore location where they are positioned and connected together to form the platform. When connected, an opening will be present through the center of the platform. This opening reduces the bottom area of the platform and accordingly substantially reduces the wave forces on the platform.

Deck or dock float

A float which may be utilized individually or which may be joined to other such floats or used with other elements to provide flotation for a deck or dock unit. Though the particular shapes and attributes of the float may vary for the particular use, the basic float consists of a hollow, preferably rotocast, unit which combines an exterior skin with attachment accommodations having a selectable top surface and a first and second flotation concept. The first flotation is provided by the buoyancy of the hollow structure with the second achieved through a plurality of selectively shaped and positioned cavities extending upwardly from the bottom surface of the float to a location at or adjacent the upper surface of the float. With this dual flotation provision, should the exterior skin of the float be pierced, allowing water to fill the interior thereof, flotation is provided by air entrapment within the formed cavities. The float provides for selective upper surface arrangements dependent upon the desire of the user and may include a flat, or otherwise formed surface.

Floating docking system for personal watercraft

The present invention is a docking system for personal watercraft such as a Jet Ski which docking system is moored to the shore by at least one stake which permit the dock to float several feet away from the shore. The present invention docking system has a shape which is conformed to the shape of the personal watercraft with the method of having a rolling means on a rope stretched across the entrance to the dock so that the dock itself is pulled adjacent the sides of the personal watercraft as it enters the slip so that the personal watercraft will not bang against other personal watercraft and is snugly retained within the dock. In an alternative embodiment of the present invention, the dock comprises an island which maintains a multiplicity of personal watercraft at 90 degrees to each other so that a multiplicity of personal watercraft can be moored at the same time and moored in a configuration so that they will not hit each other.

Foldable rigid frame attachment system for portable inflatable pontoon boats

A foldable rigid frame attachment system for portable, inflatable pontoon boats including first and second inflatable elongated pontoons arranged to be approximately parallel to each other. The pontoons include pairs of upwardly extending strips formed in a longitudinal direction on both sides of the centerline on the top of each of the pontoons. Transversal slats connect the pontoons, and the bottom of each slat includes engaging means to engage the strips of the pontoons. The pontoon boat is held rigid by first and second underbars. The first underbar is positioned in a longitudinal direction on the top of the first pontoon in between the pairs of strips and below the slats, the second underbar is positioned in a longitudinal direction on the top of the second pontoon in between the pairs of strips and below the slats. As the pontoon boat is inflated, the underbars are locked into position between the pontoons and the slats.

Multi-hull platform boat

In a first aspect, a multi-hull platform boat comprises an upper deck or platform that is secured to a plurality of longitudinally extending hulls via a plurality of corresponding longitudinally extending connectors. Each connector extends from the bottom of the platform above a corresponding hull. The platform is constructed with a continuous uninterrupted planar lower support spanning the area between the connectors. The lower support is preferably made from one or more moldable materials and may be covered with a finish coating. In a second aspect, a multi-hull platform boat has a platform with a relatively planar upper support surface and a wedge-shaped base extending from the upper support surface of the platform to the bottom of the hulls. The base is wedge-shaped such that it increases in height from the front to the rear of the boat.

Floating low density concrete barrier

A barrier for small boats has a plurality of flotation modules on lines extending across a waterway. The flotation modules are cast from a buoyant concrete mixture of cement, water, beaded forms of expanded polystyrene, and polypropylene fibers that is non-water-absorbing, crushable, not susceptible to failure in shear, and has a density lighter than water. The mixture can have cement with the beads in a ratio of about 1:3.5 by volume, the water with the cement in a ratio of about 0.5 (1:2) by weight and the fibers with the cement in a ratio of about 1:141 by weight. Lines pass thru the flotation modules and slip upon impact of a flotation module by a speeding boat, and the buoyant concrete mixture crushes to absorb some energy of the impact. The barrier is relatively low cost, can be made next to a waterway from readily available materials by unskilled workers and is deployed in a minimum amount of time.

Top-lock connector for a floating dock

A connector for connecting together two floating dock sections includes a first half having a pair of slotted cylinders and a second half with a pair of cones. A pair of rods connects the first half to the second half. When the two halves are loosely connected together, the connector is inserted into opposing receiver sockets of a pair of opposing floating dock members. A flange located at an upper end of the first half arrests the downward travel of the inserted and loosely connected first and second halves. As the rods are tightened, the pair of cones travel toward the pair of slotted cylinders and cause the slotted cylinders to expand radially outward.

Frameless modular floating dock with inflatable pontoons

A modular buoyant support apparatus is comprised of buoyant support modules of inflatable pontoons. The pontoons comprise inflatable cylindrical tubular chambers, typically fabricated of polymer coated fabric sheet material. Pontoons are fashioned so that they may be connected directly, in a modular fashion, to the underside of an appropriately configured dock platform. In some embodiments, a pontoon presents a relatively planar surface to the underside of the dock platform. The pontoons connect with attachment mechanisms depending from the dock platform via attachment points integral to or connected to the pontoons. Advantageously, the pontoons may be shipped deflated to the location for the dock and, in situ, both inflated for deployment and deflated for maintenance or relocation.
