The invention relates to a Bi-directional digital TV
video on demand realizing device with a PON (
Passive Optical Network) and IPQAM (
Internet Protocol Quadrature Amplitude Modulator) structure, in particular to a device which realizes
space division multiplexing by extending the PON and downwards moving the IPQAM. The traditional IPQAM product arranged in a centre
machine room or front
machine room occupies more frequency bandwidth resources of a
coaxial cable to cause a great waste of analog bandwidth. The IPQAM is moved from the centre
machine room or the front machine room to a
cell or light
station, thereby
multiplexing the frequency bandwidth resources of the
coaxial cable and completely solving the problem of insufficient frequency resources of a
coaxial cable network. With the technical scheme,
space division multiplexing can be realized by downwards moving IPQAM equipment, the frequency utilization ratio of an HFC (
Hybrid Fiber and Coax) network is greatly increased, and an optimal
video transmission scheme is provided for the integration of three networks. The Bi-directional digital TV
video on demand realizing device can be widely applied to occasions such as video on-demand, bi-direction interactive TV and the like.
