Eddy-free high velocity cooler

A cooling system comprises serpentine cooling fluid passages cast into a work piece with carefully controlled turning radii and profiles. Individual interdigitated baffles are contoured in the plane of coolant flow to have walls that thicken and then round off at their distal ends. The outside radii at these turns is similarly rounded and controlled such that the coolant flow will not be swirled into eddies.

Enclosed rotisserie with added convenience

Enclosed rotisserie with added convenience, including a countertop resting box-like enclosure housing a safety rear mounted heating element and a power rotated dual rod spit assembly. The gear driven spit assembly may be easily inserted and removed straight into and out of the enclosure without need for angling or coupling the assembly to a power drive socket. The spit assembly may also be mounted at various distances from the heating element to decrease cooking times. The open front of the enclosure is from time to time covered by an inclined glass panel door which may be opened in various ways to facilitate food insertion into and removal from the enclosure, and which may be easily removed for cleaning or other purposes. The embodiment's design makes efficient use of valuable counter space by recessing back and raising off the countertop its controls. A contained light as well as room light emitted through the inclined glass door illuminate the enclosure's interior to make the rotisserie cooking into a taste tempting show. Two countertop supported sizes for the embodiment are suggested, one for larger families and entertaining, and the other for small families and singles.

Oven

An oven, which both satisfies heat insulating and cooling of a door by adjusting an air flow in channels formed in the door. The oven includes a plurality of channels provided in a door, into which external air flows, accompanied with air discharged by a discharge duct, such that the air flows in the plurality of the channels, and a flow conversion part formed above at least one of the plurality of the channels for stagnating the flow of air. Since the door insulates a cooking chamber from heat and is cooled using a difference of pressures between upper and lower portions of the door, the oven concurrently satisfies conflicting two requirements, such as heat insulating and cooling of the door.

Method and device for opening and closing door of drawer-type cooking device

A method and device for opening and closing a door of a drawer-type cooking device, enabling to reduce an operation force by at least causing a drive mechanism not to put a load during an initial period when the door is opened or closed is provided. When a drawer body 2 is driven by a drive mechanism 30 including an electric motor 31 to reach a stroke end such as a fully closed (opened) position, the drive mechanism 30 is reversely driven only for a distance corresponding to a backlash existing in a transmission mechanism 32 (between a pinion 34 and a rack 35) and is stopped. When the drawer body 2 is then manually operated in the direction away from the stroke end, the drawer body 2 can be moved without driving the drive mechanism 30 against the inertia or load only for the distance corresponding to the backlash. As a result, the drawer body can start to be manually moved with a light burden.
