The implant is used to connect two parts of a tubular bone that has broken with a substantially smooth break. The implant is formed by a shaped piece that is intended to be inserted into the medullary cavity of a broken tubular bone. The shaped piece has at least one through-opening, which has a substantially constant internal diameter and extends substantially through the whole of the shaped piece and through which a cord can be pulled in order to stabilize the fracture.
