Methods and Systems for Submucosal Implantation of a Device for Diagnosis and Treatment of a Body

Instruments, systems and methods are provided for performing submucosal medical procedures in a desired area of the digestive tract using endoscopy. Instruments include a safe access needle injection instrument, a submucosal tunneling instrument, a submucosal dissection instrument, and a mucosal resection device. Systems include a combination of one or more of such instruments with or without injectable agents. Embodiments of various methods for performing the procedures are also provided. In accordance with one aspect there is provided a submucosal implant device for diagnosing and treating disorders of the body. The submucosal implant device may take the form of a gastric stimulator in which signals are supplied to the muscular wall of a mammal to treat motility disorders. In accordance with yet another aspect there is provided a method for performing a submucosal medical procedure to deploy a submucosal implant device in the digestive tract of a mammal.

Emulsions or microemulsions for use in endoscopic mucosal resectioning and/or endoscopic submucosal dissection

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition in form of emulsion or microemulsion and the use thereof as aid during endoscopic procedures in which it is injected in a target tissue in order to form a cushion. More in details, the invention relates to a method for performing an endoscopic procedure, which comprises injecting said pharmaceutical composition in form of emulsion or microemulsion in a target tissue of a patient, in order to form a cushion, which cushion is then optionally subjected to an endoscopic surgical procedure, such as a resection.

Injectable colored gel pad for gastrointestinal mucosa delamination and application thereof.

The invention relates to the field of biomedical engineering, and discloses an injectable colored gel pad for gastrointestinal mucosa delamination and application thereof. A fibroin solution, a chitosan solution or a gelatin solution is firstly injected into the submucosa of the digestive tract; and then, a genipin solution containing disodium glycerophosphate is injected into the submucosa of thedigestive tract; and a gel pad is formed in the submucosa of the digestive tract after a cross-linking reaction occurs, and is used for separating a pathological mucosal layer from a muscle layer tofacilitate the dissection of the pathological mucosal layer. The forming time of the gel pad is controlled by controlling the dosage of the genipin and the disodium glycerophosphate in the genipin solution. The injectable colored gel pad for gastrointestinal mucosa delamination has the advantages that used materials are all liquid materials with low cytotoxicity and high biocompatibility; the formed gel pad is dark blue, so that pathological tissues can be clearly marked, and the submucosal dissection operation is more convenient and safer; a good clinical use effect is achieved; and the injectable colored gel pad is worthy of clinical popularization.

Full-thickness resection model box for endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) of stomach

The invention provides a full-thickness resection model box for endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) of a stomach, which is composed of a simulated esophagus, a nylon buckle, an electrode pad, an elastic rubber band, three traction clips, a simulated abdominal cavity box, and a duodenum sealing buckle, wherein the simulated esophagus passes through the simulated abdominal cavity box; the nylon buckle is fixed at one end of the simulated esophagus; the three traction clips are fixed at two sides of the simulated abdominal cavity box through the elastic rubber band; and the electrode pad is attached to the outer wall of a sample for an experiment. The design is reasonable, the making material is easy to obtain, the making is simple, and the cost is low. The full-thickness resection model box for endoscopic submucosal dissection of the stomach is suitable for training a beginner to perform endoscopic submucosal dissection, a stomach full-thickness resection technique and gastric perforation emergency treatment, simulates a sealed abdominal cavity environment in the case of gastric wall full-thickness resection perforation and is a model for ESD training with the using effects close to the actual state of clinical operation. The relatively-sealed abdominal cavity environment in the case of full-thickness resection perforation can be simulated, and the three traction clips are used to simulate the supporting role of main zonules such as hepatogastric ligament, thereby being close to clinical practice.
