Airbag device for a front passenger seat

An airbag includes on the rear plane a passenger protection portion for protecting a front seat passenger. The passenger protection portion includes a front-collision arresting plane for protecting a head of the passenger as he moves forward in the event of a frontal collision of the vehicle and an oblique-collision arresting plane that is disposed at least either on the left or on the right of the front-collision arresting plane in such a manner as to protrude rearward out of the front-collision arresting plane for protecting the head of the passenger as he moves diagonally forward in the event of an oblique or offset collision of the vehicle. The passenger protection portion further includes an arresting recess that is disposed between the front-collision arresting plane and oblique-collision arresting plane in such a manner as to be sunken forward for receiving and arresting the head of the passenger.

Airbag device for a front passenger seat

An airbag is disclosed, including a main bag section deployable in front of a passenger seat, a center bag section which is deployable in such a manner as to protrude towards an inboard side in a vehicle width direction out of the main bag section to an area beneath the rearview mirror. The center bag section includes, on the upper portion as deployed, a region that faces the rearview mirror in an up and down direction. The center bag section internally includes a regulating tether that is disposed generally along an up and down direction and connects the region of the upper portion of the center bag section facing the rearview mirror at airbag deployment and a region of a lower portion of the center bag section deployed beneath the region facing the rearview mirror in order to prevent contact between the center bag section and the rearview mirror.

Airbag device for a front passenger seat

An airbag includes, in a rear portion thereof, a passenger protection region for protecting a passenger. The passenger protection region includes a front-collision arresting plane, an oblique-collision arresting plane that is disposed on a left side and / or right side of the front-collision arresting plane, and an arresting recess that is disposed between the front-collision arresting plane and the oblique-collision arresting plane. Further, the airbag internally includes a tether that joints a front end portion of the airbag and the bottom of the arresting recess, and an auxiliary tether that joints the front end portion of the airbag and a side edge region of the front-collision arresting plane apart from the arresting recess. The tether and the auxiliary tether are designed to be deployed generally symmetrically with respect to a line that runs in a front and rear direction through a mounting center of the airbag to a case of the airbag.

Brake flush machine with ordered cylinder extraction

A brake fluid flush machine is adapted to simultaneously supply fresh brake fluid and vacuum used brake fluid in a vehicles braking system while controlled by a processor to allow a single worker to complete the fluid exchange operation. The automatic brake fluid exchange machine comprises a used fluid tank, a new fluid tank, a manifold connectable to four secondary brake cylinders corresponding to a front driver's side wheel, a front passenger's side wheel, a rear driver's side wheel, and a rear passenger's side wheel, a suction pump connecting the manifold to said used fluid tank for draining used brake fluid from said four secondary brake cylinders, a pressure pump connecting the new fluid tank to the master cylinder, and a processor. The processor is configured to control the fluid exchange by sequentially opening and closing valves that couple the four secondary brake cylinders with the suction pump, where the valve connected to the rear passenger's side cylinder is first opened and then closed, followed by opening and closing of the valve connected to the rear driver's side cylinder, followed by the opening and closing of the valve connected to the front passenger's side cylinder, and then opening and closing of the valve connected to the front driver's side cylinder.

A military vehicle air conditioning system has one or more compressors, condensers, and evaporators. The evaporators are spaced apart from each other at the front and rear of the vehicle. An interior air distribution plenum is vertically flush with a lower edge of the windshield, has a single vent for the driver, and a large clearance between the plenum and the steering wheel of the vehicle. The front evaporator is adjacent the front passenger footwell and equipped with a renewable filter. The condenser is inside a rear storage compartment, and fans force air into the compartment through vents in the door, through the coils of the condenser, and then exhaust the heated air from the compartment. The fans are intermittently reversed to purge dust and debris circulated during this process.

Knee bolster structure

A knee bolster structure includes a vehicle-side member, a knee-receiving member, an impact-absorbing section for absorbing an input energy from knees of a driver or front-seat passenger when the knees hit the knee-receiving section, and a knee-receiving member movement section for moving the knee-receiving member to a knee-receiving position for the driver or front-seat passenger, said knee-receiving member being attached to the vehicle-side member via the impact-absorbing section and the knee-receiving member movement section, the impact-absorbing section being structurally separated from the knee-receiving member movement section.

Motor Home Chair Lift

A motor home seat lift apparatus is provided which is located within the vehicle at the front passenger door, which is foldable to a storage location adjacent to the dashboard and forward of the front passenger seat, and which unfolds for usage to place a lift seat adjacent to the level of the front passenger seat, from which a user can slide onto (or off of) the lift seat. The lift seat is then movable from the that level, downward and outward through the opened front passenger door, to a level comfortably adjacent the ground level, for the user to then stand upon when exiting the lift seat. In general, the apparatus includes a lift seat which moves laterally within the vehicle into and out of the door, and rotates up and down between the exterior ground level and the passenger seat level, above the passenger compartment floor. The lift seat is also rotatable during this lateral and rotational motion, so that the user can be comfortably reoriented to face the direction of motion and avoid impact with other vehicle structure.
