367 results about "Content creation" patented technology

Content creation is the contribution of information to any media and most especially to digital media for an end-user/audience in specific contexts. Content is "something that is to be expressed through some medium, as speech, writing or any of various arts" for self-expression, distribution, marketing and/or publication. Typical forms of content creation include maintaining and updating web sites, blogging, article writing, photography, videography, online commentary, the maintenance of social media accounts, and editing and distribution of digital media. A Pew survey described content creation as the creation of "the material people contribute to the online world."

Interactive TV audience estimation and program rating in real-time using multi level tracking methods, systems and program products

An interactive TV content creation tool imports video and other assets, including WebPages, Java script, etc., as a series of resources for interactive TV content creation for real time audience estimation and program ratings. A processing system embeds hyperlinks into one or more objects contained in a program frame as desired. Each hotlink has attributes. These attributes include shape, name, description and Z-order. The hotlink can have one of several shapes, including rectangle, ellipse and parallelogram. The hotlink types are included in an object tree which is displayed in a window to a creator. A hotlink type is selected in the hotlink tree, and a window displays a linked properties tab available for the selected object. There are several link types available; linking to a URL, another interactive TV content file, a video clip, an audio clip, an image, or a tracking action and transaction action. There are different parameters for different actions. One parameter is a tracking script. Another parameter is a tracking flag. The tracking flag can be set to follow different tracking modes. If the "enable global tracking" is chosen, a name/value pair "global=true" will be appended to the tracking script transmitted to the global tracking server through network. If the "enable local tracking" is chosen, a name/value pair "local=true" will be appended to the tracking script. The embedded tracking information can follow three multi-level tracking patterns (MTP): regular program viewing tracking, enhanced program viewing tracking, and per object granularity tracking. The viewer returns the script to a server which calculates audience estimation and program ratings for the interactive TV program.

System and method for authoring learning material using digital ownership rights

A system and method for authors of on-line learning material and learning objects is provided to develop and store their learning objects while also protecting their digital rights during the marketing and distribution of the learning objects. The digital content may include such asset content as video, music, text, educational content, or the like. Various stages of the invention include: (i) author registration that permits authors to access and become a registered user of the system, (ii) author content creation that permits authors to compose and create a Shareable Content Object (SCO) which represents one or more assets, (iii) DRM packaging that permits name tagging and security encasement, and (iv) ingesting and eStore publishing.

Delivering interactive television components in real time for live broadcast events

Interactive content creation software tools are provided to interactive content authors via the Internet. Interactive content programs associated with video of a live event and created by the interactive content authors using the interactive content creation software tools are received via the Internet. The video of the live event and its associated interactive content programs associated therewith are broadcast to end viewers via a video distribution network. Each of the end viewers is provided a list of the interactive content programs associated with the video so that each end viewer can independently select one of the interactive content programs from the list for display with the video.

Automated management of internet and/or web site content

An apparatus, program product, and method manage content from a content-controlled database (e.g., web pages or other files maintained in a web site) using a content management record linked to each content-controlled content item in the database. Each content management record is utilized in conjunction with a multi-stage content management process, where at least one stage is a review stage during which approval of an associated content item for a content management record is obtained. As a result of receiving appropriate approval, such an associated content item may be promoted and made available to users of the content-controlled database, with the content management record updated to reflect such a status of the associated content item. Content management information for a content item may be maintained in a content management record that is separate from the content item. Moreover, content management records may be maintained in a groupware-type environment, whereby collaborative tools such as document sharing and messaging may be used to facilitate the interaction among members of a content creation, development and management team during the various stages of a content management process. Furthermore, content management records may be monitored over time to provide for periodic review of promoted content items to ensure that content in a database is maintained current and accurate. In addition, multiple language and/or country versions of a content item may be linked together, such that changes made to one language/country version of a content item may automatically prompt a review of other versions to ensure that the changes are propagated to the other versions when necessary.
