System and method for control of fluid pressure

Embodiments of the present invention are related to a pumping system that accurately dispenses fluid using a multiple stage (“multi-stage”) pump. More particularly, embodiments of the present invention provide for control of a feed stage pump to regulate fluid pressure at a downstream dispense stage pump. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a pressure sensor at the dispense stage pump determines the pressure in a dispense chamber. When the pressure reaches a predefined threshold, the dispense stage pump can begin to increase the available volume of the dispense chamber, thereby causing the pressure in the dispense chamber to drop. As the pressure decreases / increases at the downstream pump, the pressure applied by the upstream pump can bed increased / decreased.

Thin provisioning method for storage system

The invention provides a thin provisioning method for a storage system. Thin provisioning is generally applied to the storage system, and is used for providing a large-volume virtual driver for an operating system. According to a thin provisioning technology, a volume space which surpasses a practical space can be provided for an upper layer in a virtual way, i.e., the available volume of the operating system is assumed to be larger than the practically provided volume. Data in enterprises increase gradually instead of getting too many at the start, so that the utilization ratio of the storage volume can be increased by adopting thin provisioning. A large-volume virtual driver can be provided for the operating system by adopting a thin provisioning storage scheme. The operating system is provided with a large magnetic disk space during distribution of the magnetic disk space, so that enterprises can consider increasing storage equipment stepwise without adjusting the operating system along with the increase of the enterprise data volume. The hot plug function of the storage equipment is realized, and the storage efficiency and flexibility of magnetic disk equipment can be improved.

The invention provides an equal-loudness contour-based loudness compensation method, which comprises the following steps of: regulating a volume of an input signal, measuring sound pressure levels corresponding to all available volume values, and in each sound pressure level, filtering an input signal by using a preset frequency filter, and multiplying by a weighting coefficient of the preset frequency filter to obtain a signal; and superposing the input signal in each sound pressure level in a plurality of sound pressure levels corresponding to all the available volume values and the signal obtained through filtering and weighting. The method overcomes the defect that when the conventional audio signal is small in volume, the loudness of partial frequency band is too low, and ears of a human body cannot feel the loudness, so that the heard sound is dry and tedious; by the method, the loudness of input signals of partial frequency band is compensated, the sound is loud and full and meets the requirement of people on acoustic comfort; moreover, a sound level meter and the filter and simple computation are only required to realize the loudness compensation of the audio signal, so that the structure is simple and the cost is low.

A system and method are provided for determining aggregate available capacity for an infrastructure group with existing workloads in computer environment. The method comprises determining one or more workload placements of one or more workload demand entities on one or more capacity entities in the infrastructure group; computing an available capacity and a stranded capacity for each resource for each capacity entity in the infrastructure group, according to the workload placements; and using the available capacity and the stranded capacity for each resource for each capacity entity to determine an aggregate available capacity and a stranded capacity by resource for the infrastructure group.
