Abstract

The invention discloses a zinc electrode and a preparation method thereof, and application of the zinc electrode in a chargeable and dischargeable zinc air battery. The zinc electrode comprises a zinc sheet, wherein the zinc sheet is coated with a coating prepared from a coating material, a binder and a dispersant, and the coating material is polyaniline. The preparation method comprises the following steps: grinding and mixing the coating material and the binder; adding the dispersant into the mixture, and continuously grinding to obtain polyaniline slurry; and coating the zinc sheet with the polyaniline slurry by using a scraper, then carrying out vacuum drying, and conducting cooling to obtain the polyaniline coating modified zinc electrode. The preparation method is simple in process, low in cost and good in controllability, the obtained polyaniline coating modified zinc sheet can effectively improve the utilization rate and reversibility of a zinc electrode, the hydrogen evolution reaction rate of the zinc electrode is reduced, the cycle life of the zinc electrode is prolonged, and the polyaniline coating modified zinc sheet has good application prospects in the related fields of electro-catalysis and secondary zinc air batteries.
