The printing ink of the invention uses water as a solvent medium, which is low in toxicity and environment-friendly; a mixed solution of ferric nitrate and anhydrous sodium sulfate is used for pretreatment of the waterborne pigment, in order to improve its compatibility with resin emulsion and enhance the stability of the pigment; and the waterborne pigment is then combined with the other ingredients to gain good drying speed, controllable slurry viscosity and good thixotropy.
