Can bus edge timing control apparatus, systems and methods

Structures and methods herein insert one or more parallel “recessive nulling” driver impedances across a controller area network (CAN) bus starting at the time of a dominant-to-recessive data bit transition and extending for a selected recessive nulling time period. Doing so increases a rate of decay of a CAN bus dominant-to-recessive differential signal waveform, permits a shortened recessive bit time period, and allows for increased CAN bus bandwidth. Various modes of operation are applicable to various CAN bus node topologies. Recessive nulling may be applied to only the beginning portion of a recessive bit following a dominant bit (“LRN mode”) or to the entire recessive bit time (“HRN mode”). And, some embodiments may apply LRN operations to some recessive CAN frame bits and HRN operations to others.

A foldable table includes a table top having collapsible legs connected thereto. The table top includes a first table top section and a second table top section. A first hinge assembly hingedly connecting the first table top section to the second table top section such that the table top can selectively move between a folded position and an unfolded position. A latch engages with the first hinge assembly so as to releasably lock the first hinge assembly when the table top is in the unfolded position. In alternative embodiments, portions of the table top sections can interlock when the table is in the unfolded position. A handle can project from between the table top sections when the table is in the folded position.

Systems and Methods for Extending the Utility of Blockchains Through Use of Related Child Blockchains

A system for extending the utility of blockchain environments when such environments become too large or complex, is disclosed. The system systematically creates a second generation, or child blockchain that can retain machine-readable links to the parent blockchain which, in turn, can be archived and referenced, when necessary, for historical reference. Accordingly, the system serves to reduce the size of the working blockchain thereby making it easier to store the blockchain, and further serves to increase the speed of queries to interrogate the current state of the blockchain. By reducing the size of the working blockchain, the present invention seeks to extend the utility of large blockchains by segregating and archiving historical or older transactions recorded in the blockchain. The system and process further includes methodologies to create links between the current blockchain and the archived sections of the blockchain to ensure the integrity of the full historical ledger.

Submersible electrical connector

A submersible electrical connector intended for use in a power distribution network permits a metal to stripped metal conductor connection to be visually inspected and verified by the installer while eliminating many opportunities for human error present with existing connectors. The connector in one embodiment includes a generally cup or dome-shaped enclosure which is preferably transparent. An open end of the enclosure mates with a seal body and a connector plate has a number of apertures adapted to receive the bare metal ends of conductors or wires inserted through the seal body. Each aperture in the connector has an associated set screw for securing the conductor thereto. A molded seal member is adapted to mate with the seal body and to provide a water-tight connection when mated with the enclosure. The seal member has a number of seal ducts each aligned with one of the apertures in the connector. The seal ducts provide a water-tight seal around the plastic sheath of the conductor when installed in the assembly. Each seal duct initially includes a missel-shaped wire way guide plug inserted therein. Each wire way guide plug is open at the bottom to receive the exposed end of the conductor therein. The wire way guide plugs remain installed in the seal ducts to seal them until a conductor is inserted through the associated seal duct.

A method and system for evaluating the interior surface and exterior wall conditions of a pipeline while also dynamically installing a repair coating in a pipeline, such as an underground water pipeline. The system is towed into the pipeline and drawn back therethrough. As the system is drawn back, one module in the system evaluates the surface condition of the interior of the pipe and another module evaluates the structural condition of the wall of the pipe. Based on the evaluation data obtained from the two modules an epoxy material is applied to the interior surface of the pipe using a spin cast machine that is drawn behind the two modules. Preferably, a layer of epoxy is applied to the interior surface of the host pipe to the appropriate thickness based on the pipe condition as determined by the two modules.

Performance enhancement in transistors comprising high-k metal gate stack by reducing a width of offset spacers

In sophisticated semiconductor devices including transistors having a high-k metal gate electrode structure, disposable spacers may be provided on the encapsulating spacer element with a reduced width so as to not unduly increase a lateral offset of a strain-inducing material to be incorporated into the active region. For this purpose, a multi-layer deposition may be used in combination with a low pressure CVD process.
