Methods and systems for provisioning access to customer organization data in a multi-tenant system

Embodiments are described for providing support representative access to applications deployed in an enterprise network environment. An access provisioning system defines a support user class in a user profile database for an application executed on an organization partition within the network. The support user is granted read only privileges to metadata of the application. An organization administrator can grant support personnel access to the application as a support user, thus the ability to view, analyze, and possibly modify the metadata. The access provisioning system generates a Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) assertion upon request by the support personnel to enable access to the data to the extent of the granted privileges. The SAML protocol includes authentication of the support representative as an authorized support user within the system.

Methods and systems for processing graphs using distributed memory and set operations

Systems and methods for operating a database using distributed memory and set operations, and for evaluating graphs stored in the database. Any system may be represented as a graph structure having nodes and edges. The graph structure is stored in a distributed memory system using a key / value schema wherein each node is stored as a key and a set of neighbor nodes is stored as the corresponding value. A short path from one node to another may be determined by traversing the graph in stages, moving outward from each node in stages until common midpoint nodes are found indicating connections between the nodes. When the midpoint nodes are found, the paths connecting the nodes may be reconstructed.

Needle safety device

A needle assembly includes a needle and a hub mounted to each other. The hub includes a sidewall spaced outwardly from the needle cannula and extending to a distal position between the opposed ends of the needle cannula. A housing integral with the hub defines a sidewall to partially confine a safety shield. The safety shield is slidably disposed about the needle cannula and releasably retained in a proximal position and can be moved to a distal position where the safety shield completely surrounds that portion of the needle hub projecting distally from the hub. The needle assembly includes a spring for propelling the safety shield to the distal position and a latch for releasing the safety shield from the proximal position. The latch may be passively activated by normal usage of the medical implement to which the needle assembly is mounted or alternately activated manually.

Trigger-free asynchronous maintenance of custom indexes and skinny performance meta-structures

Trigger-free asynchronous maintenance of custom indexes and skinny performance meta-structures is described. A database system receives a request to manipulate data in an object in a database table, and determines whether the object in the database table is associated with a user-based data structure. If the object in the database table is associated with the user-based data structure, the database system manipulates the data in the object in the database table and data in an object in an intermediate data table. The database system receives a query, and determines whether the query requests any data that is in the user-based data structure. If the query requests any data that is in the user-based data structure, the database system creates a query result by combining any data that is in the object in the intermediate data table with any requested data that is in the user-based data structure, and outputs the query result.

Contact recommendations based on purchase history

Contact recommendations based on purchase history are described. A system creates a directed graph of nodes in which at least some of the nodes are connected by directed arcs, wherein a directed arc from a first node to a second node represents a conditional probability that previous users who purchased a first contact also purchased a second contact. The system identifies a set of contacts purchased by a current user. The system estimates a prospective purchase probability based on a historical probability that previous users purchased a specific contact and a related probability that previous users who purchased the specific contact also purchased a contact in the set of contacts, for each candidate contact. The system outputs a recommendation for the current user to purchase a recommended candidate contact based on a corresponding prospective purchase probability.
