The invention discloses an antenna performance optimization method and electronic equipment, and aims at solving the technical problem of poor antenna performance of a mobile terminal due to hand holding in the prior art. The method comprises the following steps: obtaining a holding mode of the electronic equipment; if the holding mode is a first holding mode, controlling an antenna radiation body of the electronic equipment to be connected with a feeding point arranged in a first region; and if the holding mode is a second holding mode, controlling the antenna radiation body to be connected with a second feeding point arranged in the second region. When a user holds the electronic equipment in the first holding mode, the second region is the region held by the user; and when the user holds the electronic equipment in the second holding mode, the first region is the region held by the user.
