Motorized shopping cart

The invention provides a shopping system for a wheelchair bound shopper comprising a wheelchair configured for use by the shopper, wherein the shopper is at least partially bound to the wheelchair and a motorized shopping cart for pulling itself and a wheelchair bound shopper in a store. The shopping cart comprises a base having a bottom side and a top side positioned oppositely to the bottom side of the base. At least three wheels are fixed to the underside of said base. Further provided is a basket attached to the top side of the base. The basket has a front, a back positioned oppositely to the front, and two sides positioned between the front and the back of the basket. A motor attached to at least one of the at least three wheels, the motor operating to propel at least one of the at least three wheels when actuated. The shopping cart also provides a handle attached to the back of the basket. The handle has a holding portion by which the shopper holds and maneuvers the shopping cart. The handle has a switch whereby the shopper actuates the motor of the shopping cart to move the shopping cart. At such actuation, the shopping cart moves forwardly and pulls the wheelchair bound shopper also. By such action, the wheel chair bound shopper is able to shop in a store though bound to a wheelchair using said shopping cart.

Clothing for non-ambulatory and wheelchair bound people

Clothing for non-ambulatory people in the form of a shirt and pant legs. A pair of pant legs is each formed and sized to be pulled over a person's leg and having a length so as to reach a person's thigh area, with the pant legs being secured to the thigh area. The shirt has a front body portion and a back body portion. The back body portion is sized and configured to have a length sufficient to extend down to proximately a small or waist area of a person's back. The front body portion is sized and configured to have a length sufficient to extend down and be draped over a thigh area of the person, and has extended side portions configured for draping over each side of the person's body from proximately a waist area of the person down to the thigh area of the person.

Toilet for handicapped and normal people

This disclosure relates to a toilet bowl and seat which is user-friendly to individuals who are physically (or possibly mentally) disabled and especially wheelchair-bound people or even normal people with bad knees. The toilet seat and bowl shape is turned through 180 degrees relative to a conventional front-to-rear tapered seat and bowl shape in order to facilitate the ability to easily slide onto the toilet from the transportation device and easily slide backwards onto the same after use. A handle is also provided at the cistern front / rear of the toilet seat for support while standing up or sitting down during / after use and which is removable or fixed. Flushing also is easier because the tank is in front of the user and the flush handle may be provided on either side to suit the user.

Examination assembly with improved access for the wheelchair bound patient

An examination assembly advantageous for use with wheelchair bound patients comprises a rotatable stand which receives medical equipment, an arm assembly mounted on the stand comprising a main arm connected to the stand and an auxiliary arm operatively connected to the main arm, a table which mounts at least part of the medical equipment having a table area and an underside, and an S-bracket connecting the auxiliary arm to the table such that the auxiliary arm is remote from the table. The auxiliary arm is above the table and the S-bracket comprises a mounting flange, an underside flange and a linking flange connecting the mounting flange to the underside flange. Fasteners connect the underside flange to the table.
