Abstract

The preparation method of the palladium-free nickel-plated printing toner comprises the following steps of (1) surface sulfonation treatment of the toner, (2) preparation of an [Ni(N2H4)3]SO4 liquid; and (3) nickel plating of the toner. After the printing toner is treated by adopting a chromic acid-concentrated sulfuric acid, the water contact angle is reduced to 58.72 degrees from 98.32 degrees, the hydrophilicity is strengthened, a lot of sulfonic acid groups are generated and uniform nickel plating of the surface of the toner is achieved.
