Problems solved by technology

However, there are significant differences in the chemical structure and physical form between the existing barite and the high molecular polymer, and the surface properties of the two are different, resulting in poor compatibility and affinity between the barite and the high molecular polymer matrix. Poor, it is difficult to disperse uniformly in the polymer matrix, thus affecting the mechanical properties of the composite material

Abstract

Modified barite used for a high-strength wear-resistant cable sheath material and a preparing method thereof are disclosed. The modified barite is prepared from following raw materials by weight: 60-80 parts of barite, 15-25 parts of waste leather powder, 5-10 parts of aluminum diethylphosphinate, 14-18 parts of polymerized iron-phosphorus powder, 18-26 parts of polyhydroxybenzoate, 5-10 parts of chromium carbide, 2-4 parts of cerous chloride, 5-10 parts of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, 1.5-2.5 parts of calcium stearoyl lactylate, 2-3 parts of dipentaerythritol, 4-7 parts of tris(trimethylsilyl) borate, 1-2 parts of diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate, 4-8 parts of melamine cyanurate, 5-10 parts of tris(2-ethylhexyl)trimellitate and 4-6 parts of auxiliary agents. By modification of the barite, the surface of the barite is turned from hydrophilic to lipophilic and hydrophobic, thus enhancing compatibility and affinity with organic polymer and dispersibility, so that the organic polymer and the barite can be combined well, and wear resistance , ageing resistance, heat resistance, and other excellent properties of the barite can be exerted well. The modified barite and the method have a wide development and application prospect.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a modified barite for a high-strength wear-resistant cable sheath material and a preparation method thereof, belonging to the technical field of inorganic fillers. Background technique [0002] Barite is an important barium-containing mineral. Due to its high density, stable chemical and thermal properties, it can be used as a filler for rubber and plastics to improve the hardness, wear resistance and aging resistance of rubber and plastics. However, there are significant differences in the chemical structure and physical form between the existing barite and the high molecular polymer, and the surface properties of the two are different, resulting in poor compatibility and affinity between the barite and the high molecular polymer matrix. Poor, it is difficult to uniformly disperse in the polymer matrix, thus affecting the mechanical properties of the composite material. Therefore, it must be modified to some extent. Content...
