High voltage cable for a miniature x-ray tube

In a miniature x-ray tube, which may be on the order of approximately 1 mm in diameter or even less, a high voltage cable is provided in various embodiments for conducting current to the cathode of the x-ray tube and for conducting high voltage to the cathode and anode of the tube. In various embodiments of the cable, two conductors occupy a center region of the cable, packed as closely together as possible, in various shapes that are compact and present as smooth as possible an external shape for maximizing dielectric properties against the exterior high voltage ground, surrounding and generally concentric with the inner conductors. The inner conductors, which carry high voltage in opposition to the outer ground, can be in opposed D shapes, coaxial, two flattened conductors side by side, or simply a pair of cylindrical wires positioned as closely as possible. The space between the inner conductors and the outer ground can be occupied by a glass insulator, polymer, successive layers of polymers and adhesive, air, gas, vacuum or other dielectrics. A partially conductive region can surround the inner conductors.

The invention provides an external thermionic cathode distributed X-ray device, comprising a vacuum box which is sealed all around and is highly vacuum inside, a plurality of electronic emission units, an anode, and a power and control system. Each electronic emission unit is independent to each other and the electronic emission units are arranged in a linear array and are installed on the side wall of the vacuum box. The anode is installed in the middle part of the vacuum box. On the length direction, the anode is parallel to the arrangement line of the electronic emission units, and on the width direction, an included angle in a preset angle is between the anode and the installation plane of the electronic emission units. The power and control system is provided with a high-voltage power supply, a focusing power supply, an emission control device and a control system. The electronic emission unit is provided with a heating filament, a cathode connected with the heating filament, an insulating support piece which surrounds the cathode and a filament, a focusing electrode which is configured on the top end of the insulating support piece in a manner of being above the cathode, and a connecting fixing piece which is configured above the focusing electrode and is connected with the box wall of the vacuum box in a sealed manner. The filament lead passes through the insulating support piece and is connected with the emission control device.

High-frequency wave type of x-ray generator

A high frequency X-ray generator includes an anode voltage generator, a cathode voltage generator and a X-ray tube. The anode voltage generator is configured to generate a first high voltage. The cathode voltage generator is configured to generate a second high voltage having a same waveform as the first high voltage. The second high voltage has a different phase by 180 degrees compared to the first high voltage. The X-ray tube is configured to generate a X-ray by the first high voltage and the second high voltage. The first high voltage is applied through an anode terminal. The second high voltage is applied through a cathode terminal.

An X-ray generating tube includes: an anode including a target and an anode member electrically connected to the target; a cathode including an electron emitting source and a cathode member electrically connected to the electron emitting source; and an insulating tube joined at one end to the anode member and joined at the other end to the cathode member so that the target and the electron emitting portion face each other, in which an inner circumferential conductive film is formed on an inner surface of the insulating tube; an end surface conductive film extends from one edge of the inner circumferential conductive film on the one end side onto a surface of the one end of the insulating tube; and the end surface conductive film is sandwiched between the end surface and the anode member to be electrically connected to the anode member.
